Trip date: October 2025 - Sheepy· October 24th, 2025The accommodations, both in Cairo and on the boat, were not very nice. The boat especially was unclean: I soaked up dirty brown water from carpet for 3 days. Nothing was done to fix it when I complained. The food was all buffet style: ok, nothing special. The guide in Cairo was horrible: rushing, talking incessantly, lost me twice. Our guide from Luxor on was great! He was very informative and allowed us time for photos and shopping. He was truly attentive to the interest and needs of the group and made adjustments accordingly. I am grateful he was our guide, as he was an integral part of our experience. Our ship was the M/S Jaz Celebrity. It was much nicer than expected. The cabin was large, staff were very friendly, and the entire ship was remarkably clean. Overall this was a great tour and a very good value. I would highly recommend the company. Be aware, there are several early mornings. You receive a detailed itinerary for the next day the evening before. I wish we had a detailed itinerary for the week, but I understand these tours have complex logistics with many different vendors. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy even when things got delayed due to traffic at the lock on the river. His information on the tours was thorough and clear. Regarding the Abu Simbel tour, it will be A/C vehicle and the pickup starts on day 6 at 04:00 am. We will prepare a boxed breakfast for you and the way to Abu Simbel Temple takes around 2 hours, the visit takes around 2 hours too then you will return to the cruise after you finish your visit.
