  1. Day 1

    Ljubljana

    After meeting your tour director, you'll transfer into Ljubljana's city center for a guided walk through Old Town. You'll see Ljubljana Castle, the Triple Bridge, and the Ljubljanica River before checking into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to wander around at your own pace.

    Ljubljana - Postojna - Bled - Ljubljana

    This morning after breakfast you'll head to Postojna Cave to see the stalactites and stalagmites on a guided tour. Then it's on to Bled Lake where you'll take a traditional Pletna boat out to Bled Island and climb up to the medieval castle for views across the water. You'll be back in Ljubljana by mid-day with free time for the rest of the afternoon.

    Ljubljana to Zagreb

    After breakfast you'll check out and drive toward Zagreb, which takes about 2 hours. Once there, a guided tour walks you through Ban Jelačić Square, the Upper Town, and various architectural landmarks around the city. After checking into your hotel, your evening is free to explore on your own.

    Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes to Bihać

    You'll check out after breakfast and head to Plitvice Lakes National Park to walk the wooden pathways between cascading waterfalls and clear lakes, including the Veliki Slap waterfall. After lunch on your own, it's about a 1-hour drive to Bihać where you'll explore the city center before settling into your hotel for the night.

    After checking out, you're heading to Central Bosnia starting in Jajce for a guided tour of the cobblestone streets, medieval fortress, Pliva Waterfall, and old wooden watermills. Then you'll continue to Travnik to see its fortress and Ottoman-era architecture, finishing the day with arrival in Sarajevo and checking into your hotel.

    You'll spend the day in Sarajevo exploring where East meets West. Check out the Latin Bridge and the Sarajevo Tunnel Museum to learn about the Siege, then head to the abandoned Olympic bobsled track from 1984 which now has street art covering it. The city's layered history and cultural mix will be evident throughout your walking.

Your evening is free after checking in.

    The day centers on exploring around Mostar starting with Kravica Waterfall where limestone cliffs surround cascading water and you can swim if you'd like. Then you'll walk through Počitelj's ancient stone streets and climb to its medieval fortress for views. Later you'll stop at Blagaj to see the Buna River springs and the historic Tekija monastery before heading back to Mostar for the evening.

Then it's on to Skopje to see Alexander the Great Square, the Old Bazaar, and Kale Fortress before checking in. Your evening is free and the tour concludes.

    I highly recommend this 7 day tour. It felt like two weeks. The guys are very kind and attentive and did a great job showing us their beautiful country. We learned a lot about Bosnia and enjoyed the time there a lot. We will definitely book one of the other tours with Tour Mage.

    • For any tour departing before November 30th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after November 30th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Tour Mage. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 30 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
