Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cairo
You'll get picked up at the airport by your Ancient Egypt Tours representative and head to your hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Check-in happens at 14:00 (or 15:00 depending on tour details). If you land early, you can relax at the hotel or book an extra night for immediate access to your room. Later in the evening, you have options: take a 2-hour Nile dinner cruise with belly dancing and local entertainment, or catch the Sound and Light show instead.

Cairo
After breakfast, your personal Egyptologist guide takes you to Giza Plateau to see the Great Pyramid of Khufu, plus the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure along with their surrounding structures. You'll also check out the Great Sphinx and Valley Temple. There's a photo stop where you can capture all three pyramids with Cairo's skyline behind them. In the afternoon, head to the Egyptian Museum to walk through over 250,000 artifacts from 5,000 years of Egyptian history, including King Tutankhamun's treasures with jewelry, headdresses, vases, and statues.

Cairo to Alexandria
You'll have breakfast then get driven roughly 210 kilometers to Alexandria, called the Pearl of the Mediterranean. The day includes visiting Montazah Palace and Gardens with its Salamlek and Haramlek palaces across 317 acres, plus photo stops at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. You'll see Pompey's Pillar, built for Emperor Diocletian in the late 4th century, and explore the Catacombs, a massive Roman cemetery with three rock-cut levels. Later, drive along the Corniche and cross Stanley Bridge, then visit Qaitbay Citadel, constructed where Alexandria's ancient lighthouse once stood. End at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the world's largest library with 8 million books, before driving back to your Cairo hotel.

Departure from Cairo
Have breakfast at your hotel before your representative picks you up for transfer to the airport. Plan for a 4-hour buffer before international flights or 3 hours before domestic ones. If your flight leaves early before the hotel serves breakfast, you can ask them to pack a breakfast box for you to bring along.
