Our driver was outstanding (handling that Cairo traffic, takes skill and very good driving skills) and he had both. Our guide Wallie what can I say, you want be disappointed if you get him as guide, knowledge of history and all things Egypt is amazing and he was always accommodating to our needs (if we asked to stop somewhere for something he would).Show more

We were met at the airport immediately on exiting by Hamdy, who was our driver for the whole of the tour. Always polite, always smiling, always punctual, always very helpful, Hamdy is an excellent and safe driver especially in the extremely heavy traffic in Cairo. Our hotel, Azel Pyramid was comfortable; spotlessly clean; good food; attentive and courteous staff throughout. - Jennifer· February 4th, 2025The company ran the tour with only one without charging me extra, which was beneficial for me as a solo traveller. They were on hand to help and the hotel was decent, however, the quality of the guides was a concern. One left me without any information for large parts of the day and rushed me around so quickly, we were finished over an hour before we needed to be. The second didn't follow the itinerary shared by the company and I had to ask to go to the places listed, which resulted in journeys back and forth across the city, which shouldn't have been necessary. The final one took me to a restaurant which they clearly had an agreement with, which tried to force me into taking a set menu I didn't want. Be aware- tipping is very much expected and sometimes talked about to an uncomfortable level, so take this into account when you budget for the trip. All entrance tickets are not included, so they also add up. This is stated, but worth knowing. Unfortunately, the minibar and TV in the hotel were faulty. These were only repaired after repeated requests, but then did not run for long and were defective again. The service in the hotel was very very slow, we waited for example 1 hour for a sandwich and a salad. We asked for an iron in the morning and received it late in the evening.
