Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival to Volcanoes National Park
Your driver picks you up and you'll spend about 2 hours driving through Rwanda's rolling hills toward Ruhengeri, which sits at the base of Volcanoes National Park. The route includes a few stops where you can get out, stretch, and take photos of the landscape. You'll reach your accommodation by late afternoon.

- Day 2
Volcanoes National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, you head to park headquarters for a briefing about what to expect during gorilla trekking. From there, you'll spend between 2 and 5 hours trekking through bamboo forests looking for gorillas, which can be demanding depending on where the groups are located that day. You'll break for lunch, then drive across the border into Uganda at Cyanika and continue to Kisoro town, arriving later in the evening.

- Day 3
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Get an early breakfast and report to headquarters where rangers assign you to a specific gorilla family. The whole day involves trekking through steep, thickly forested terrain in search of mountain gorillas. It's physically challenging and can take most of your day, but finding the gorillas hidden in the vegetation and spending time near them makes it worthwhile.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Once there, a game drive in the Ishasha sector is your main activity, where you'll look for the park's well-known tree-climbing lions along with regular lions, elephants, antelopes, and different bird species. You return to the lodge afterward to relax.

- Day 5
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start with breakfast and take a morning game drive to see wildlife you might have missed on your previous drive. You'll head back to the lodge for lunch, then in the afternoon you get on a boat for a cruise on the Kazinga Channel to watch animals from the water. You'll be back at the lodge by evening.

Queen Elizabeth National Park to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, you drive to Kibale Forest National Park, which has more primate species living together than almost anywhere else in Uganda. A nature walk through Bigodi Wetland lets you see the forest habitat up close. There's also a community walk option if you prefer to experience the area in a different way.

- Day 7
Kibale National Park to Entebbe
The morning is spent tracking chimpanzees through Kibale Forest, listening to their loud vocalizations as they move through the trees. They're not always easy to spot, but their calls make their presence very clear. After lunch, you head to Entebbe and catch your flight home.
