However, a few details did not match the itinerary provided. I was expecting a 2nd class train ticket but received a 3rd class ticket on the slow train, which made the 5+ hour journey to Ella very crowded and uncomfortable. In addition, we did not stop at Hanuman Hindu Temple, which had been listed as part of the tour. While I still enjoyed much of the trip (particularly Sigirya Rock and Dambulla Cave Temple), I would suggest confirming ticket classes and all planned stops in advance to ensure traveler expectations are met.Show moreTrip date: July 2025

We can buy 1st class ticket on availability, as train tickets can only 30 days prior only and 1st class tickets will be additionally charged $ 25 per person can pay on arrival. Just for information 1st class compartment shutters can't open, Guest enjoy better view or if guest want feel the fresh air and view they need to go to doorstep.

Entrance fees per person - Mostly child rate is half rate (child age-12 years below): Day 01 - Dambulla cave temple - 8 $ & Village experience - 25 $. Day 02 - Sigiriya lion rock - 35 $, Kandy tooth temple - 2000 LKR & cultural dance show - 10 $. Day 03 - Ambuluwawa tower - 2000 LKR. Day 04 - Gregory Lake - 400 LKR. Day 05 - Yala National park - 80 USD (per person - With entrance & safari). Train tickets are included (2nd class - seats are subject to availability). Last day drop time would around in Colombo - 10.30pm - 11.30pm / yes can drop to airport directly no issue.
