- Day 1DubrovnikYou'll arrive in Dubrovnik and have time to settle in before the welcome meeting at 6 pm. If you get there early, check out the Church of St Blaise, ride the cable car up Mount Srd for views over the city, or search for Game of Thrones filming spots around town. - Day 2Elafiti IslandsThis morning you're taking a day trip to the Elafiti Islands, a small archipelago off Dubrovnik's coast. You'll stop at churches along the way, then have time to swim or relax at the beach or grab a long lunch at a waterfront restaurant. Back in Dubrovnik by afternoon, the rest of the day is yours to wander around. Check out Big Onofrio's Fountain or the Franciscan Monastery before finding a spot for dinner with sunset views. - Day 3Dubrovnik to SplitYou'll head up the coast to Split, Croatia's second-largest city, which is a fairly long travel day so bring something to keep you occupied. You'll arrive in the afternoon with free time to walk around and see what Split has to offer. The Diocletian's Palace is a UNESCO site worth checking out, or you can join an optional guided tour if that appeals to you. The day ends with dinner by the water. - Day 4SplitIt's a free day in Split, so you can explore at your own pace. The Old Town is built around a 3rd-century Roman palace that Emperor Diocletian had constructed, and you can wander through the passageways and courtyards at your own speed. There's a 16th-century synagogue to find and often live music happening in the courtyard. Grab coffee at one of the Riva waterfront cafes or climb up the Cathedral of Saint Domnius for views across the city. - Meals

- Day 5Split to ZagrebToday you're heading to Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of Croatia's most striking UNESCO sites. You can explore on your own or stick with your leader to hit the best spots. You'll walk through wooded areas with turquoise lakes and waterfalls, and there's a good chance you'll see local wildlife among the beech and pine trees. Later you'll drive to Zagreb for the night. - Meals

- Day 6ZagrebAfter breakfast, your leader will take you on an orientation walk through Zagreb. You'll head to Dolac Market, the city's main market, where you can pick up local produce, seasonal fruits, preserves and olive oil upstairs, with cheese and meats on the lower level. Stop by a bakery to try cevapcici, a traditional snack you'll find at the market. The afternoon is free so you could visit Zagreb Cathedral or check out the Museum of Broken Relationships if it interests you. - Meals

- Day 7Zagreb to LjubljanaYou'll take a train across into Slovenia and arrive in Ljubljana, the country's capital. After checking in, your leader will give you a short orientation walk to get your bearings. The rest of the day is open for exploring this sophisticated city with its history, churches, museums and restaurants. Wander through the old center to see the unique architecture, or visit Ljubljana Castle, Town Hall, Dragon Bridge and Preseren Square. - Meals

- Day 8Ljubljana / BledYou've got a free day in Ljubljana with the option to take a daytrip to Bled, an alpine resort with a castle, peaceful lake and island church. If you go, you can take a traditional Pletna boat across Lake Bled to the island and climb 99 steps to St Mary's Church, then hunt down the famous Bled cream cake at local cafes. There's rafting, caving, cycling or swimming if you're into that sort of thing. Later you'll join the group for dinner and try local dishes like struklji or potica. - Meals

- Day 9Ljubljana to VeniceYou're traveling by bus to Venice, the famous city in northern Italy built on canals with nearly 400 bridges connecting the islands. The day is free once you arrive, so you can visit St Mark's Basilica, walk across the Rialto Bridge, tour the Doge's Palace or take a gondola ride through the canals. Try tiramisu while you're there since it's the region's specialty. Tonight you'll have a final dinner with your group at a local restaurant. - Meals
