Itinerary
- Day 1
Arusha
You'll arrive in Arusha at any time that works for your flight. There's nothing scheduled during the day, so take time to settle in and relax. Later in the evening, you'll head to a welcome meeting where you'll connect with your tour leader and the other travelers joining you on this safari.

Lake Manyara
After breakfast, you'll drive to Mto wa Mbu village for a guided cultural walk with the local women who lead the village tours. They'll invite you to their homes for a traditional lunch prepared by a local family. In the afternoon, you'll head into Lake Manyara National Park for a wildlife safari. The drive takes you through lush forest where you might spot tree-climbing lions, elephants, giraffes, and hippos, plus a wide variety of bird species.

Landmarks Lake Manyara National Park - Day 3
Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti
You'll travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area heading toward Serengeti National Park. Along the way, the drive itself becomes your safari. You'll pass through acacia-dotted savanna with chances to see wildlife and birds throughout. The landscape is really expansive, and there's plenty of time to take in the scale of everything around you as you head toward your destination.

Landmarks Ngorongoro Conservation Area Serengeti National Park - Day 4
Serengeti
Get an early start before sunrise for a full day of wildlife viewing in the Serengeti. You'll search for the big five while driving across the vast plains. Around midday, you'll stop for a picnic lunch right in the bush, then continue looking for animals and birds through the afternoon. It's a long but rewarding day of game viewing.

Landmarks Serengeti National Park - Day 5
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
You'll eat an early breakfast before heading out for a half-day safari as you leave the Serengeti. After lunch, you'll continue watching for wildlife on the drive toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. By late afternoon, you'll reach your campsite positioned on the crater rim with panoramic views down into the Ngorongoro Crater.

Landmarks Ngorongoro Crater - Day 6
Ngorongoro to Arusha
Leave around 6:00 am with packed lunches ready for the day. You'll descend roughly 610 meters into Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater is home to nearly 30,000 animals including wildebeests, zebras, and critically endangered black rhinos. Afterward, you'll begin heading back to Arusha where your tour finishes. From there you can visit a supported orphanage, extend your trip, or arrange an airport transfer.
