Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
A driver picks you up from Kilimanjaro airport and takes you to your hotel in Arusha. You'll get a safari briefing to prepare for the days ahead, then settle in for your first night.

Lake Manyara National Park
You head out to Lake Manyara National Park to see soda lakes, groundwater forests, and grasslands. A picnic lunch breaks up the day while you search for tree-climbing lions and spot from the park's 350 bird species. After returning to your lodge, the evening is yours to relax.

Lake Manyara to Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge
Early morning departure toward the Serengeti takes you through Olduvai Gorge, a 50 km canyon carved through the plain with walls up to 90 meters high. This is where the Leakey family found fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back nearly two million years. You'll arrive at your Serengeti lodge by evening.

Serengeti Full Day Game Drive
After breakfast, you grab a packed lunch and spend the full day on game drives following the Great Migration trails through the wilderness. Your guide walks you through what makes this natural event so significant, and you return to the lodge as daylight fades.

Landmarks/POIs Serengeti National Park - Day 5
Serengeti Southern Plains - Ndutu Area
You take a packed lunch and continue game viewing in the Ndutu area on the southern Serengeti Plain as the migration moves southwest. Around midday, you'll break for lunch and rest for an hour, then head back out to follow herds of wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras grazing across short grass.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, another game drive takes you toward Ngorongoro Crater. The route passes through the Malanja Depression where you'll see Masai villages scattered along the way.

Landmarks/POIs Ngorongoro Crater - Day 7
Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
You start at 06:00 for a game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater with a picnic lunch. The crater's 2,000 foot walls keep most animals from migrating out, so lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, and antelopes are concentrated in one space. Your driver uses his skills to track down hidden wildlife. Later, you drive back to Arusha for your final night.
