- ECEmma· October 28th, 2024Positives: Overall the tour was planned very well, it was nice to have all the accomodations and (most) travel items looked after, along with a couple activites. This was a great way to travel being our first time overseas, to have most of this looked after. Negatives: We were supposed to receive our travel documents approx. 14 days prior to departure, but we did not receive them until 7 days before... This was frusterating as we were getting anxious for the trip and wanted more information to review ahead of time. We had to pay city tax at each hotel we were at, this ranged from 4 to 6 euros per person per night, so it added up quickly. This was frusterating as it said all the accomodations were included, and there was no note of this being an additional fee in the ad... All of the transfers were included for Greece, but not for Italy. Luckily I saw this noted in another review before we left, so we were aware. Looking back at the ad it does note all the transfers, but when you don't know where you are going you assume everything is included, it didn't clearly note what wasn't included (ie taxis from train / hotel / last airport, although some were walking distance so wondered if maybe this is why they weren't included)... General comments: It would have been nice if there were a couple more activites included, to have at least 1 in each city if we were there for 2 nights or more (even just a walking tour). We added a vatican city tour in Rome (through TourRadar) which included the museum and sistene chapel which in hindsight we could have just gone to vatican city and walked around / went into St. Peters Basilica as it's free. We booked a pasta making class in Florence (on our own) which was fun and educational. We also booked a boat tour in Venice (on our own) that went to Murano, Torcello and Burano small islands which was nice. I would highly recommend both!Show more

Would be good if a tour of the Vatican when in Rome and tickets to the museum with David in Florence was included or offered as an optional extra. - Cassandra· June 23rd, 2024Overall, it was a great trip! We absolutely loved our Greece trip and felt like Tour Radar did well with the Greece part of the trip. Transportation was provided, tours set up for each city that included awesome tour guides that did a fantastic job. All the hotels and staff were fantastic. However, Tour Radar totally dropped the ball in Italy, the second half of the trip. No transportation to or from any destination OR guidance on how to get to our hotel. We were essentially stranded in an airport and both train terminals until we walked to a restaurant with WiFi, bags dragged along, and were able to figure out a way there. We wasted hours and walked many miles out of our way because the transportation wasn’t provided in any way. Additionally, there weren’t any tours provided in Italy besides one in Rome, which was very rushed and didn’t cover Rome or any other city Tour Radar was supposed to provide tours for. We ended up booking separate tours for all the cities in Italy we saw, which defeats the purpose of using tour radar. Trip date: June 2024 - NRNancy· May 24th, 2024Just returned from this trip. We enjoyed it tremendously! Greece was organized every step of the way and our hotels were excellent (we did upgrade to 4 star). Being unfamiliar with travel in Italy we were a little shellshocked on transport - but once we got the hang of it (with dot travel help) it was easy to get around.
