It was a perfect combination of activities (climbing, white water rafting, snorkelling) cultural events and some down time on the beach. Suranga provided local insight and knowledge and when needed arranged guides at the UNESCO sites for more in depth knowledge. He got to know us as a family and we had fun along the way!Show more

He made the experience so much more, and his vast knowledge helped us learn so much about Sri Lanka and its history and traditions, as well as having a sense of humour. For him, nothing was too much trouble. 10/10 for him. The tour itself is varied and travelling to many different places in Sri Lanka shows so much of the country from its Buddhist temples and cultural dance shows, from traditional villages to tea plantations, and the nature varying from elephant herds seen on safari to the turtle hatcheries along the coast. The itinerary was perfect-saw a lot of the highlights of Sri Lanka-and the drives were never over 2 1/2 hours. The hotels were all excellent with amazing staff that went overboard to make sure your stay was comfortable. I can not recommend this tour enough!Show more

He was very knowledgeable on the culture and history of his people. His driving was impressive given the number of crazy drivers on the road. He added personalised touches like stopping and buying coconuts so we could experience real coconut water and Buffalo curd with Treacle. Knowing he was always available if we needed anything was a comfort as well.
