Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
Start the day with a pickup from your Marrakech hotel and head into the High Atlas Mountains. You'll pass through several Berber villages on the way up to Tickha peak, where the views across the mountains really open up. From there, it's on to the 18th-century Telouet Kasbah to walk around the historic fortress. After grabbing lunch near the kasbah, the route continues through Skoura and the Valley of Roses before reaching Boumalne Dades where you'll have dinner and stay overnight.

Boumalne Dades to Merzouga Desert
Following breakfast, head toward Tinghir to check out the Todra Gorge with its dramatic canyon walls and river running through. The drive takes you through desert towns like Erfoud and Rissani, and then you'll transition to either a camel ride or 4WD vehicle to get out into Morocco's pink desert dunes. Spend the evening watching the sun drop over the dunes, then enjoy traditional Moroccan food and live music around the campfire before settling into a Berber tent for the night.

Merzouga Desert
Get up early to catch the desert sunrise over the dunes and have breakfast afterward. You'll take a 4WD vehicle across the rocky plateau to visit nomadic tents and the Ghost Town of Mifis, where you can learn about ancient mining and fossils in the area. Later, head to Khamlia Village for live Gnawa music performed by local musicians. Lunch here is homemade Berber pizza, and then the day wraps up at the Merzouga oasis before heading back to your riad for the night.

Merzouga to Ouarzazate
After breakfast, the drive to Ouarzazate takes a scenic route passing through Alnif, Tazarin, Agdez, and the Ait Sawen mountains. Once you arrive, you'll settle in for your overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Breakfast comes first, then you'll drive back toward Marrakech by heading through the High Atlas Mountains. When you reach Marrakech, your driver helps with bags and gets you situated back at your accommodation for the end of your trip.
