Nairobi
You'll land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where a Classic Journeys Africa representative will meet you for the drive to your hotel. After you check in, there's a briefing on your safari program and you'll meet your driver guide who'll be with you throughout the trip.

Nairobi to Amboseli
Following breakfast, you'll head to Amboseli National Park, known for its large elephant herds, views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, and wildlife including the Big Five. Lunch happens at your lodge, and then you'll do an afternoon game drive to start spotting animals.

- Day 3
Amboseli
You'll spend the full day in Amboseli with two game drives across the lake bed. Cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, gazelles, and elephant herds show up throughout the day with Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background. There's an optional visit to a Masai village if you're interested.

Amboseli to Lake Manyara
The drive takes you to Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline lake in the Great Rift Valley. You'll cross the border at Namanga and grab lunch in Arusha before heading into Lake Manyara National Park for afternoon game viewing. The park is famous for lions that climb trees, which is pretty unusual.

Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro
After relaxing at your lodge, you'll depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area with its rolling plains, lakes, craters, and dormant volcanoes. Lunch at the lodge gives you time to rest, and there's an optional cultural village visit if you want to learn more about local communities.

Landmarks Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater
You'll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called the 8th Wonder of the World. Inside you'll find grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, and a freshwater lake all in one place. You can see all the Big Five here and Africa's highest concentration of predators. Lunch happens as a picnic on the crater floor.

Landmarks Ngorongoro Crater - Day 7
Ngorongoro to Serengeti
Driving through Ngorongoro Conservation Area with picnic lunch boxes, you'll cross into Serengeti National Park. You'll stop at Olduvai Gorge, known as the Cradle of Mankind and one of the world's most important prehistoric sites. By evening you'll reach your lodge for a traditional safari dinner.

Serengeti
This full day in the Serengeti covers 14,763 square kilometers of rolling savannah. During migration season you'll see over one million wildebeest alongside lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and other plains game. Your meals are eaten safari style out in the bush itself.

Serengeti to Masai Mara
You'll drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, which draws the annual migration of over one million wildebeest. The border crossing at Isebania requires customs formalities. Picnic lunch boxes come with you on the drive before you arrive for late afternoon game viewing. The day ends with campfire cocktails and dinner.

- Day 10
Masai Mara
A full safari day in the Masai Mara puts you in Africa's richest wildlife viewing area. You'll spot Kenya's largest lion prides and elephant herds, plus leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, hippos, Nile crocodiles, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, buffalo, and over 550 bird species. Optional activities include a hot air balloon ride or Masai village visit.

Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you'll head toward Lake Naivasha/Lake Elementaita. You arrive in time to check in and have a late lunch before settling in at your camp for the afternoon.

Departure
The morning starts with a boat ride to Crescent Island Game Park where you'll walk among wildebeest, waterbuck, zebras, and gazelles. A hilltop gives you 360-degree views across the lake. After returning by boat, you'll drive back to Nairobi, arriving early afternoon, then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.
