Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
Start by walking through Marrakech's historical quarters, taking in the different neighborhoods and their character. Head into the Souks where you'll find tinsmiths hammering away at their metal work, dyers creating colorful fabrics, and herbalists selling dried goods and spices. The energy there is intense, so give yourself time to wander and soak it in. Later, make your way to Djemaa El Fna square where the real scene unfolds - storytellers are doing their thing, musicians are playing, and performers work the crowds. Grab food from one of the stalls if you're hungry, or just watch from the sidelines.

Marrakech to Imlil
Drive out through the valleys heading toward Imlil village, which sits at the base of Mount Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak. Once there, you'll choose between a soft hike or going by mule to reach a Berber settlement in the mountains. Along the way, you'll meet local Berber people and get to see how they prepare traditional mint tea. By afternoon, you'll have lunch either in a family's home or at a mountain restaurant, eating typical local dishes and getting a real sense of how people live in these villages.

Spend your day exploring the Medina's Souks, which are known for being the most colorful and lively in Africa. This is where the real daily life happens, and you'll talk with artisans and shop owners about their work and their culture. Move through different sections of the Souks, taking in-depth tours of each area so you understand what's happening - who's selling what, how things are made, and what all the activity means in Moroccan culture. You'll probably get a bit lost, which is sort of the point.
