Itinerary
- Day 1
Johannesburg
You'll meet at the hotel at 11:30 a.m. and have lunch before heading to the Apartheid Museum (or an alternative depending on the day). From there, a panoramic drive takes you through Johannesburg's financial district to see the city's iconic buildings and skyline. By evening, you'll check into your five-star hotel and have dinner.

Johannesburg to Kasane
A regular flight gets you from Johannesburg to Kasane, Botswana. After landing, a small private boat transfers you to your CroisiEurope lodge while you watch for birds, hippos, and crocodiles in the flooded flatlands below. You'll settle in and have dinner at the lodge.

Chobe National Park
Your full day in Chobe National Park starts with a Jeep safari through territory where more than a quarter of Africa's elephants live. Lunch happens out in the bush. In the afternoon, a small private boat takes you onto Chobe River and around Sedudu Island with its marshes. You're back at the lodge by evening for dinner.

Impalila Island
You'll spend the morning on Impalila Island in Namibia, walking through authentic villages to see traditional houses and learn about local culture and customs. After returning to the lodge for lunch, the afternoon is yours to use the pool and other lodge facilities. Later, a small private boat discovery tour explores the Zambezi River, and dinner at the lodge includes stories from your guide about island traditions.

Chobe National Park to Kariba
One last water safari takes you through the Chobe National Park area before lunch along the water. Then you head to Kasane airport for a private plane flight to Kariba, flying over Lake Kariba and the surrounding wilderness. After transferring to board your ship, you'll settle into your cabin and begin sailing across the lake.

Matusadona National Park
You're up at sunrise to sail through Lake Kariba's landscape of drowned trees mirrored in the water. A small private boat venture into Matusadona National Park's waterways lets you find wildlife and quiet inlets. Back on the ship for lunch, then the afternoon brings sailing toward Palm Bay. At sunset, another small private boat ride shows you the sky's changing colors before dinner and an overnight stay on board.

Matusadona National Park
This morning's safari explores the area around Matusadona National Park, the 1,400 square kilometer untouched region with elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo and thousands of birds. Your guide discusses the park's unique history, including Operation Noah, which rescued over 6,000 animals during lake formation. Lunch is on board, followed by a round table discussion about how the lake was created, what lives there, and how the ecosystem works. Dinner and overnight stay happen on the ship.

Kariba to Victoria Falls
At sunrise you sail to Kariba and disembark to tour the massive Kariba Dam, built in 1955 and now generating 70 percent of Zimbabwe's electricity. You'll hear about the lake's history and local legends, including the story of NyamiNyami, the river god. A private plane then flies you to Victoria Falls for an exceptional lunch cruise on the Zambezi River upstream from the falls. The afternoon is free to relax by the hotel pool overlooking the savannah. You'll have dinner and stay overnight at a four-star hotel.

Victoria Falls
After breakfast, a walking tour of Victoria Falls takes you to see where the Zambezi River drops over the cliff as the world's widest waterfall, creating the 'smoke that thunders.' The tour wraps up around 10:30 a.m., so don't schedule any flight before 2:00 p.m.
