The small group is really the way to go. Everyone was super nice and fun to be with. The accommodation was also great. What made our tour super special was our guide Lee. His knowledge and obvious love of his heritage and country was what made the trip special. Would highly recommend Irish Experience Tours. - PEParis· November 8th, 2019I had such a blast on this tour! While it was only 4 days, it was an incredible way to see the start of the magic that exists on the West Coast of Ireland. Do go with the expectation that the weather may not be great, and do keep those sea sickness tablets at the ready for your ferry ride to the Aran Islands. - Katelyn· September 4th, 2019Overall the tour was a great experience. The scenery on the west coast was amazing and we got to see some great attractions. My husband and I upgraded to have our own room. The beds at the first location (near Westport)were awful but the staff was very friendly. The second location was much better - they even took everyone's individual breakfast order the night before. The ferry ride to and from the Aran islands was horrible - very rough. I have never seen so many people throwing up. The bus we rode in was very comfortable but leaked in a few places when it rained. But it wasn't a big deal. Shaun was great. Very informed about all of the places we visited and about the history of Ireland. If we had more time I would have loved to do a longer tour. Irish Experience ToursOperator•Written May 2025Irish Experience Tours does not currently arrange or book side trips like visits to Liverpool or London as part of their core Ireland tours. These trips would need to be arranged by you independently or through Tour Radar, either before or after your Ireland adventure. Is it cheaper to travel through London or Dublin? This depends on a few things: Airfare: Generally, flying into Dublin can be cheaper if you're focused solely on Ireland, especially from the U.S. or Canada (and you can avoid UK airport taxes). Multi-city trips: If you want to include London or Liverpool, then flying into London and flying out of Dublin (or vice versa) as an 'open-jaw' ticket might be more cost-effective than booking separate one-way flights. Book your UK side trips (London/Liverpool) separately. Check open-jaw tickets. If you're only doing Ireland, fly into Dublin for likely lower costs and easier logistics.
