An amazing experience with James our top guide who shared history, best places to eat and local pubs with the best music. A good blend between interesting historic sights and amazing scenery. Accomodation was very good with a really good breakfast to start each day. An excellent pace, never felt rushed & not too much driving each day.

We felt we missed out on an experienced guide. Our driver was very friendly but not what we expected after paying for a guided tour. The accommodations were very good especially in Dingle. We had hoped the transportation would have WiFi but it did not. We had an enjoyable time and loved Ireland but the tour did not meet our expectations.

Hello Dennis, Sincere apologies, due to a medical emergency we had to change your driver guide last minute. We do not provide WiFi on board on purpose as we dont think it adds anything to the tour. If WiFi is really important they sell virtual SIM... Show more

How often Will WiFi be available on the tour?

    Travel Support
    • Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperatorWritten June 2025

Each accommodation provider would have WiFi, all restaurants have etc. However it's really simple to get a virtual SIM card online or at the airport you can use and you get unlimited WiFi on your phone for Euro 2 a day.

What time and where exactly would one arrive back in Dublin city on June 2 with the bus ticket that you provide? I also want to confirm you still have availability.

    • Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperatorWritten May 2025

We provide a bus ticket back to Dublin which can be used any time, the earliest you could be back in Dublin is around 17:30 if you want to do the full programme on the last day but you also can do a little later and explore more of Galway.

      TravelerWritten May 2025

Regarding the last day of the trip, do people usually stay the night in Galway and would you have accommodation recommendations convenient to the bus to Dublin? Do you have recommendations for accommodations near the pick-up in Dublin since the hotel at the pickup spot seems fully booked?

    • Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperatorWritten May 2025

Some people spend the night in Galway as it's a great little city, amazing atmosphere, loads to do and just a great place to be while others explore Dublin. It's really what you want. Dublin is nice and compact so maybe try the Castle Hotel, The Alex, The Morgan, The Green. They are all about a 12 Euro taxi from the departure location.

I'm very interested in joining your trip. It sounds absolutely magical. I am trying to fit in a few days in Ireland before a short horseback riding trip I already have planned in Northern Ireland departing on June 29th from Ballycastle. It seems like the trip departing on June 25th works perfectly for me assuming it's ok if I leave a little early and head for Ballycastle instead of back to Dublin. I will be traveling solo and joining a small group would be ideal for me. Would it be possible for me to do that?

    • Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperatorWritten May 2025

That is no problem at all. I think there is a bus called Feda O'Donnel, that goes all the way from Galway up to North Donegal. That might be worth checking out. Not that many people know about it. And yeah that is no problem to leave slightly early.

    Asked on December 2nd, 2024

Are there restrooms on either the smaller coach or larger tour bus? If not, what is the longest travel time between stops?

    Transport
    • Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperatorWritten December 2024

We dont have bathrooms on our coaches. We stop every 90 minutes or so and some guides even every hour and there is always demand for a coffee stop so it could be more often as well. Just let the guide know and he will make the stop or stop a little more often if needed. That is the nice thing about a small group tour, there is a little more flexibility.
