Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca to Fes
You'll be picked up at Casablanca airport or your hotel, then head out on a scenic drive toward Fes. Along the way, you'll pass through Rabat and Meknes where there are quick stops to check out important historical sites, including some Roman ruins. By evening you'll arrive in Fes and settle into a traditional riad for the night.

- Day 2
Fes
After breakfast, a local guide takes you through Fes's historical areas. You'll see Madrasa El Bouinania with its intricate Marinid architecture, walk around the El Quaraoiyin mosque and University (which happens to be the world's oldest continuously operating university), and check out Pottery Village and Nejjarine Square. There's also the South Tower and the king's residence to see. By afternoon you have free time to wander around on your own. You'll stay overnight in Fes.

Fes to Merzouga
You'll leave early and head through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane (called 'Little Switzerland' because of its alpine-style buildings and cooler temperatures), then continue through cedar forests and scenic valleys where you might spot Barbary macaques. As you get closer to Merzouga Desert, the landscape changes into rolling dunes. Late afternoon brings a two-hour camel trek at sunset, followed by arrival at a desert camp where you'll have traditional Moroccan dinner and listen to Berber music under the stars.

Merzouga to Dades Valley
Start your morning watching the sunrise paint the dunes gold. After breakfast, you'll head to Todgha Gorge and walk through the narrow canyon walls with a clear river running alongside. From there, continue to Dades Valley to see rock formations, oases, and traditional villages. The drive takes you along scenic routes with great views of geological features like the Monkey Fingers and Dades Gorges. You'll spend the night in an authentic riad in Dades Valley.

Dades Valley to Marrakech
Start at Atlas Studio for a behind-the-scenes look at movie sets and film production. Next, visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site known for its mud-brick structures and appearances in films. Then go to historic Telouet Kasbah to see decorated rooms, carved ceilings, and colorful tilework. Later you'll drive toward Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through villages with traditional Berber architecture, terraced fields, and valleys filled with walnut and apple orchards.

You'll have a full guided tour of Marrakech with a local expert, exploring the red city's neighborhoods and cultural highlights. Walk through the UNESCO-listed Medina with its narrow streets, colorful markets, traditional riads, and interesting architecture. Spend time at Djemaa el-Fna square where you'll find snake charmers, street performers, and storytellers. You'll also visit Bahia Palace to see its courtyards and detailed tilework, then wander through the spice markets and souks filled with handmade crafts, leather goods, ceramics, and textiles. Afternoon is free for your own exploration. Stay overnight in Marrakech.
