Itinerary
- Day 1
Casablanca to Chefchaouen
Your driver picks you up in Casablanca and heads north toward Chefchaouen. If you arrive early enough, there's a chance to stop at Hassan II Mosque before moving on. You'll pass through Rabat, the capital, where you'll have lunch, then continue through wooded areas heading toward the blue city. By evening you're settled into your hotel in Chefchaouen.

Chefchaouen to Fez
Spend your morning wandering through Chefchaouen's medina on your own schedule. After lunch, you head to the Roman ruins at Volubilis, an important archaeological site with well-preserved artifacts from centuries past. From there you travel through farmland and villages to reach Fez, checking into your riad in the Old Medina for the night.

Fez
After breakfast, a local guide takes you on a half-day walking tour through Fez's historic medina. You'll see the 14th-century Bouanania and Attarine Medersas, the Karaouiyne Mosque and University, and the Nejjarine marble fountain. Later there's lunch at a traditional Moroccan restaurant, then you continue to Bab Boujeloud gateway, the medieval tanneries, Royal Palace, and souks selling jewelry, leather, copperware and pottery before returning to your riad.

Fez to Merzouga
You leave Fez heading toward cedar forests and alpine villages in Ifrane and Azrou, where you might spot macaque monkeys. Passing through Midelt (the Apple Capital) for lunch, the landscape changes dramatically through river valleys, mountains and palm groves. At Erfoud you stop to see fossil and mineral workshops with incredible fossils and dinosaur bones. As the dunes appear, you reach Merzouga and your luxury desert camp, enjoying mint tea, a sunset camel ride, and local music under the stars.

Merzouga to Dades Gorge
Early morning brings the magical desert dawn. After breakfast at your camp, you head to Rissani to explore the colorful souks and see the ruined town of Sijilmassa. Traveling west through Tinejdad and Tinghir past palm groves and adobe villages, you climb the mountains to Gorges du Todra with its 300-meter-high fault and crystal-clear river. Later you reach Boumalne Dades to explore rock formations and Dades Gorge, staying overnight at a luxury hotel with dinner included.

Dades Gorge to Marrakech
After breakfast, you explore rock formations and hidden kasbahs within the gorge. Moving through Dades Valley you pass adobe kasbahs and the Rose Valley where Damask roses are grown and processed. The ancient palm grove of Skoura comes next with its impressive kasbahs, then Ouarzazate, the cinema capital. You visit film studios, stop at Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou for lunch, then cross the High Atlas Mountains through Berber villages and farms, passing Tizi n'Tichka at 2,260 meters before descending to Marrakech by nightfall.

Marrakech to Casablanca
After breakfast, you have time to check out Marrakech's souks including the Babouches (shoes) souk, Chouari (carpenters) market, El-Attarine (perfumes and spices) market, and Cherratine (leather) souk around Djemaa El-Fna square. Then you transfer to Casablanca airport for your departure flight, ending your 7-day Morocco tour.
