Kathmandu
You'll arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport where your guide meets you and drives to your hotel in Kathmandu. Before settling in, you'll go over trekking permits, what gear you'll need, and details about the trek ahead.

- Day 2
Lukla to Phakding
A 40-minute flight from Kathmandu takes you to Lukla. From there, you trek to Phakding over 3 to 4 hours, with Mt Nupla and Kusum Kangaru coming into view as you walk.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
You'll trek from Phakding through Sherpa villages with rhododendron trees, magnolias, and giant firs all around. The path climbs steeply toward Namche Bazaar, and along the way you get your first real views of Everest and other major peaks.

Namche Bazaar
This is your acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar. You can take a short hike to Thame, Khunde, Khumjung, or head to Everest View Hotel for clear mountain views, or just spend time in the village learning about Sherpa culture and relaxing.

Namche Bazaar to Thame
You trek to Bhote Koshi Valley, following an old trade route toward Tibet. Prayer flags, mani stones, and chhortens line the path, and you'll see pristine peaks while sensing how close the Tibetan border actually is.

Thame to Khumjung
The trek continues through Bhote Kosi valley on a quiet road to Khumjung, the largest Sherpa settlement in the Khumbu valley. You'll walk through the village, visit the high school that Sir Edmund Hillary helped fund, and see the monastery with the famous Yeti skull.

Khumjung to Tengboche
Walking with constant Himalayan views, you stop at Sanasa for tea, then descend to Dudh Kosi River and have lunch at Phunki. After that, switchbacks take you climbing up to Tengboche Gompa, the region's largest monastery, where multiple major peaks spread out in front of you.

Tengboche to Monjo
Morning visit to Tengboche monastery, then you head down to Monjo. The route climbs from Sanasa tea shops with high Himalayan views, an easy hour to Namche Bazaar for lunch, and then a steep drop down to Dudh Koshi River before reaching Monjo village.
