Itinerary
- Day 1
Kibale Forest
You'll check out this morning and then head out by safari vehicle for a 4-hour drive to Kibale Forest. Along the way, you pass through Fort Portal where you'll stop to visit the Toro Kingdom palace and royal tombs before continuing on. Once you arrive at Kibale, check into Primates Lodge Kibale. Later in the afternoon, a guide takes you on a primate walk heading out to Kanyanchu river camp, walking through different forest zones to spot wildlife.

- Day 2
Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
This morning starts early with a guided chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest's tropical rainforest. You'll search for chimpanzees along with red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and other species. After you spot the chimpanzees, you'll watch them for about an hour in their natural setting. Then you drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, taking in views of the Rwenzori Mountains along the way. You'll arrive in time for an evening game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens Mile where you can look for lions, leopards, and other wildlife.

- Day 3
Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi
After breakfast, you'll do a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park searching for tree-climbing lions. Then you drive through green countryside with panoramic views of the Rwenzori Mountains, passing traditional homesteads as you head to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You check in at your lodge, have dinner, and spend the night here in this forest that's home to endangered mountain gorillas.

- Day 4
Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Trek to Kigali
You start before dawn with a 30-minute drive to the National Park headquarters to meet your guides. From there, you begin mountain gorilla tracking through thick brush over steep terrain at high elevations. Once you spot the gorillas, you spend about one hour watching them and observing their natural behavior. You return to the lodge for lunch around 1:30pm. In the afternoon, you transfer to Kigali International Airport, including a short city tour and a visit to the genocide memorial before your evening flight home.
