In general this tour was well organized and all happened according to the iternary as has been presented to us. The accommodation was at Avatar Lodge which was very good. The food was very tasty and more than enough. The staff ,management and guides were friendly and knowlegable. The rooms were comfortable and clean and free of "creepy crawlies" Cold water shower only, which seems to be the norm in Iquitos? The swimming pool was a life saver.

    Andy

    Asked on April 11th, 2022

I am looking at the four day tours for Machu Picchu. I am curious on the hiking/actvity levels needed. Do we carry all of our gear? I'm on a three week trip and will not be able to put everything into a ruck sack/backpack. I'll likely just have a suitcase. I want some activity and I want to be outdoors. I want a more authentic experience vs larger organizations that cost way too much for too little experience.
