Quito
Your flight arrives in Quito and you'll be transferred from the airport to your hotel in the business district. The Dann Carlton Hotel or a similar 4-star property will be your base for the night, with comfortable rooms and good facilities to help you settle in after your travel.

Quito City Tour
You'll spend the day exploring Quito at 9,350 feet elevation with a local guide showing you around the capital's main sights. In the afternoon, you can head to Quicentro Shopping if you want to do some browsing, or walk through Carolina's park instead and just take in the city.

- Day 3
Quito to Amazon Jungle
A 4-hour drive takes you toward the Amazon Jungle with a stop at Papallacta hot springs where you'll soak in the natural pools. After checking out Archidona's food market to taste local dishes, you'll continue by motor canoe to reach your jungle lodge. Have lunch there, then relax by the pool and at the river viewpoints before dinner.

- Day 4
Amazon Jungle Activities
This morning brings a full day of jungle activities starting with a visit to a local Indian village and canoe rides on the Napo River. You'll walk about 2 miles through the primary forest around Misicocha, which locals call Cat's Lake. After lunch, you'll try a traditional drink made from yuca or cassava and spend time talking with people from the area.

Route of the Waterfalls to Baños
After breakfast, head along the Route of the Waterfalls where over 30 waterfalls drop from the Eastern Andes and you'll stop at several along the way. Depending on conditions and how much time you have, zip-lining and hiking are options available. You'll finish the day in Baños, a religious center where the Virgin Mary reportedly appeared near a waterfall, and check into your hotel.

Baños Adventures
Pick your adventure for the day: either white water rafting on the Pastaza River with Class III rapids, or canyoning with rappelling down waterfalls. Once you finish with whichever activity you choose, the rest of the afternoon is free to wander around Baños on your own and relax.

Quilotoa Volcano
You'll travel to Quilotoa Volcano with several stops to see the landscapes and visit an Indian family to learn about how they live. The route passes through Pintores de Tigua, where local artists show their work, and then Zumbahua before reaching Quilotoa. You can hike down into the crater to see the lake and ride a mule back up, then stay overnight at the Chimbacucho hacienda.

- Day 8
Departure from Quito
In the morning you can help milk the cows at the hacienda, take a walk around the property to see the surrounding landscape, or just sit by the fireplace. After breakfast, you'll head back to Quito's international airport, timing your departure based on your flight. Most departures need to happen by 11 am, though you can arrange a later transfer if you contact ahead.
