Itinerary
- Day 1
Cusco
You'll arrive in Cusco and get settled at your hotel in the historic center. After spending some time resting and letting your body adjust to the altitude, your guide will meet you in the afternoon to explore Plaza de Armas. From there, you'll visit Qorikancha temple and continue to several other Inca sites including Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Puca Pucara. The day wraps up at Cristo Blanco where you'll get views across the entire city.

Aguas Calientes
Start with breakfast at your hotel before heading to the Alpaca Center to see llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos up close. Next you'll stop at Taray viewpoint to take in the valley below. After that, the day includes a walk through the Pisac archaeological site and its artisan market, then you'll head to Moray to see the circular terraces carved into the hillside. From there, it's on to the Maras salt mines before exploring Ollantaytambo's impressive stonework. Later in the evening you'll board the Expedition train to Aguas Calientes.

Cusco
You'll grab breakfast at your hotel early, then take the bus up to Machu Picchu to catch the sunrise. After entry, you'll have a guided tour lasting about two to three hours that covers Circuit 2, including terraces, temples, plazas, and ceremonial areas. You'll then have free time to wander around and take photos on your own. If permits were arranged ahead of time, Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain hikes are options. By lunch you'll be back in Aguas Calientes to eat, then later you'll catch the train back to Ollantaytambo and get a private transfer to Cusco for your final night.
