- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive in Africa and check into your hotel. This first day is all about settling in and getting ready for the safari adventure that's ahead of you over the next week or so.
- Day 2
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Head out to Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya's most famous game area. After lunch at your lodge, you'll set out on your first game drive looking for the Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and Cape buffalo. Your visit supports wildlife conservation efforts.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
This day brings morning and afternoon game drives in the Mara. The reserve is part of the Serengeti ecosystem and has a strong permanent population of animals. When the Great Migration arrives, nearly 2 million more animals show up, which brings predators like lions, cheetah, leopard, and hyena.

Maasai Mara to Amboseli National Park
You'll take a quick flight to Nairobi and then drive to Amboseli National Park, known for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. An afternoon game drive follows before you settle into your lodge in the foothills.

Amboseli National Park
Morning and afternoon game drives give you chances to get close to elephants. You might also see Cape buffalo, zebra, and wild dog. During the hot part of the day, relax at the lodge with its pool, craft market, or a card game with other travelers.

Amboseli to Lake Manyara
You'll cross into Tanzania at the Namanga border. After lunch in Arusha, you'll head to your camp overlooking Lake Manyara. Optional activities include a guided hike through the forest in the Great Rift Valley, or a visit to Mto Wa Mbu village to see monkeys and try local fruit beer.

Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park is small but ecologically diverse with forests, plains, and the alkaline lake. The morning game drive takes you through an area with the world's largest concentration of baboons. You'll also spot giraffe, hippo, and more before heading back to your lodge for the afternoon.

Ngorongoro Crater
You'll descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. It's the world's largest unflooded caldera, over 2,000 feet deep with a floor covering more than 102 square miles. Most animals stay year-round, so you'll have chances to see lion, Cape buffalo, hippo, elephant, and flamingo. A picnic lunch happens in the crater.

Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park
You'll continue exploring the Serengeti, which covers roughly 5,700 square miles. The name means 'endless plains' in the Maasai language, and Maasai tribes live alongside the wildlife here. Morning and afternoon game drives will have you spotting big cats, Nile crocodiles, giraffes, gazelles, and eland.

Serengeti to Stone Town, Zanzibar
This morning you'll fly to Stone Town, Zanzibar via Arusha. A Globus representative meets you upon arrival and you'll check into your hotel. Dinner happens at the hotel this evening.

Landmarks/POIs Stone Town - Day 12
Stone Town, Zanzibar
A guided walk through Stone Town's narrow alleys takes you through this UNESCO World Heritage site, visiting the Old Fort, House of Wonders, and Sultan's Palace. You'll see intricate wooden doors and local markets. Lunch is at oceanfront Archipelago Restaurant with fresh local dishes. Later, a nature walk through Jozani Forest lets you see Zanzibar's red colobus monkeys and mangrove and mahogany forests.
