This entails the group helping with food prep, cooking, cleaning and setting-up camp. While the Tour Leader and Drive usually do most of the cooking it is required that participants lend a helping hand in daily tasks and where necessary.

The accommodation ranges in standard; tourist-class / backpacker private rooms / 3-star hotels / pre-erected structured tents (glamping) and actual bush camping tents in the more remote areas listed in the itinerary. If you book the Accommodated tour option, then the Tour Guide will set up your bush camping tents and new pillows and sleeping bags will be provided (you do not need to pack these). In recap: 31 nights twin share accommodation, 1 night pre-erected en suite tented camp (Delta); 2 nights bush camping at Spitzkoppe and Khomas Region (equipment supplied).

Asked on August 24th, 2022I personally prefer to sleep in a 1-Person-tent. After every day with new adventures and impressions with so many new people (which I'm looking forward to experience) I really want to process everything by myself. This is why I see the 1 person tent as a non-negotiable aspect for the journey i'm going to do. Can you tell me if this is possible for the above-named trip on the above-named travel date?

Single supplements are not applicable on any Adventure-style tour. Solo passengers will share a 2-man canvas tent (camping) or a twin-bed room (accommodated) with a fellow solo passenger of the same gender. Of course, if the tour is not at full capacity or if the passenger numbers are odd there is a slight chance you can discreetly enquire about your own tent with the Tour Leader while on tour - however this cannot be guaranteed or promised in any way.

Every Acacia Overland tour has an Adventure Pass which is paid to your tour leader in Africa at the beginning of the tour (or pre-paid by arrangement prior to your tour). This is separate and in addition to the Tour Price, and covers selected park entries, activities and excursions along the way where payment goes directly to the supplier to ensure local suppliers benefit directly from the income.
