  Great tour & cruise. My 3rd time to Egypt, so I can confidently say you will enjoy this budget option. We saw all the Nile Cruise temples, Luxor, Karnak, Valley of the Kings, & Aswan escorted by Medhat Labeeb. He is very knowledgeable & accommodating. Ask him & he will arrange it...we added Unfinished Obelisk. Cruise food is great & staff is amazing. Our Cairo guide was also great..Marta? Tour coordinator Tony, like Medhat, will go/arrange anything you want.

  The Luxor to Aswan half of this trip was severely disappointing. Truly Egypt Tours pawned us off onto some other tour group - "Nour Belle Tours" - that had a horrific tour guide named Medhat Labeeb. From the moment we met up with this guide I was skeptical. He spoke so quietly that no one in the group could hear or understand him and when we brought it up, asking if he could please speak louder, he basically told us to listen better. He was also incredibly controlling, was trying to dictate what we did with our free time (particularly adamant that we do not book tours with anyone but him), said I was not "allowed" to purchase a large 8L jug of water for the Nile cruise - despite seeing multiple others doing the same - insisting that we only shop at stores of his choosing, and other practices that made me very weary to trust him. The tours he gave of the different sites were disinterested, rushed, and short. I found myself googling information to fill in the gaps since he was unresponsive to questions. The Nile cruise we were on was the Jaz Celebrity. It was below average at best - bad food, LOUD rooms, and we booked two twin beds and were given a queen bed which they refused to swap for us. We eventually found a couple who had actually been given twin beds (not even from our group) who was happy to switch with us - but that lack of customer service was wild. The price of extras and add-ons was WAY higher than other tour groups and the cost of tickets at $155USD was more than the actual cost of all the tickets, including the ferry across to an island and the golf cart things, which was only $115USD. It's not a huge difference but it does just show the scamminess of the operation. There was also no mention that we would be pawned off to another tour company when we booked. I was called at all hours of the night and day (was understandable the first time because they didn't check what time zone I was in, but I told them on that call what the time difference was) to check things that were in the details provided. The whole operation just seems a little haphazard. All of that said, the day we spent in Cairo with our Egyptologist Nasr was much better. He was super knowledgeable and spent time giving us all the details about the pyramids. The last day ends at 3pm which is unfortunate because it meant we were sprinting through the museum and spent less than 90 minutes there - when we definitely would have prefered to stay for longer.

  The truth is I give it two stars because of the guides and the tour, the 5 star cruise and the air are a robbery in every way, the Semiramis 2 cruise is a boat that should be remodeled or discarded because it is super old and poorly maintained, a complete disaster in its rooms, lobby, dirty mattresses, furniture, towels and bathrooms. They are a shame to put a 5 star cruise, the same with the plane, a complete robbery of low cost in Cairo, everything is perfect. You arrive at Luxur, your misfortune begins when you go to eat, you will pay 5 dollars for a 10 cent water bottle, they do not even give you a glass when you sit down at the table, a total lack. The tour is perfect, the guide as well, the dining room staff very friendly and helpful, the porters, another disaster, they broke my suitcases when taking them from the parking lot to the river fishing boats (cruise), the only one without music on the entire Nile, all the others.   I was really lucky to have Dasha for my main tour guide. She was a wonderful guide at the sites and she was very helpful with other transportation arrangements I had to make The ship, the Sunrise was very comfortable and the food was really great. I was a little taken a back to find I had to buy drinking water I was booked into Truly Egypt Tours thru TourRador. I was told the price which was quite high. I paid it and after the start of the tour I was asked to pay more. I consider this an unethical business practice and would not use these companies again

  This was our 2nd trip with Truly Egypt Tours. The tour was private and everything has been perfect. Nice hotels, great cruise in the M/S Ciela, and excellent communication throughout the initial planning stages and the time during our tour. Our guide, Medhat, who we had during our last tour, was awesome as usual! Couldn't ask for a better guide! Great time here, and great to see old and familiar faces again. A great company who cares about their guests experience. We love Truly Egypt Tours and Egypt! We will be back as we are thinking about moving to Egypt part time, such a welcoming country. Thanks Mac, Med, and Tony!! Our family of 4 had a private tour and had requested Medhat for our guide (as this was our 2nd trip with Truly Egypt Tours and had Med the last time in 2023). The trip was perfect - thanks Mac for working with me and making this happen for my family! Everything was perfect and went smoothly as expected. Med was awesome as usual. We had some issues with our son in law and illness, and Med helped to get a Dr to come on board to evaluate him and provide medications. Very helpful!The ship, M/S Ciela, was beautiful and staff was very professional and friendly. We had a great 7 night cruise. Our stay at the Steigenberger Achti and then in Giza at the Cairo Pyramids Hotel were both good as well. We had Marwa as our guide in Cairo, and We had Marwa in Cairo and she was excellent. She allowed us to change some of the itinerary due to son in law being ill and understood what we did and didn't want to see. She was excellent. Wish we had more time to get to know her- loved her and Med. Great job as well by Tony, the Cairo rep and arranger of our pick up and drop offs. Just a very good job by everyone at Truly Egypt Tours!! I'm a person who knows what they want in a tripz and Mac organized everything according to our wishes.   The guide was fantastic and was so helpful. We had a change of ship because the first one was not acceptable. Our guide was great with helping with this. A suggestion to be made aware the hotel in Cairo has no alcohol.
