- YNyosva· August 25th, 2025The truth is I give it two stars because of the guides and the tour, the 5 star cruise and the air are a robbery in every way, the Semiramis 2 cruise is a boat that should be remodeled or discarded because it is super old and poorly maintained, a complete disaster in its rooms, lobby, dirty mattresses, furniture, towels and bathrooms. They are a shame to put a 5 star cruise, the same with the plane, a complete robbery of low cost in Cairo, everything is perfect. You arrive at Luxur, your misfortune begins when you go to eat, you will pay 5 dollars for a 10 cent water bottle, they do not even give you a glass when you sit down at the table, a total lack. The tour is perfect, the guide as well, the dining room staff very friendly and helpful, the porters, another disaster, they broke my suitcases when taking them from the parking lot to the river fishing boats (cruise), the only one without music on the entire Nile, all the others. Lively music, fun, ours the dirtiest and dull, the food The head chef is super special, along with his chef. She was a wonderful guide at the sites and she was very helpful with other transportation arrangements I had to make The ship, the Sunrise was very comfortable and the food was really great. Nice hotels, great cruise in the M/S Ciela, and excellent communication throughout the initial planning stages and the time during our tour. Our guide, Medhat, who we had during our last tour, was awesome as usual! Couldn't ask for a better guide! Great time here, and great to see old and familiar faces again. A great company who cares about their guests experience. We love Truly Egypt Tours and Egypt! We will be back as we are thinking about moving to Egypt part time, such a welcoming country. Thanks Mac, Med, and Tony!! Our family of 4 had a private tour and had requested Medhat for our guide (as this was our 2nd trip with Truly Egypt Tours and had Med the last time in 2023). The trip was perfect - thanks Mac for working with me and making this happen for my family! Everything was perfect and went smoothly as expected. Med was awesome as usual. We had some issues with our son in law and illness, and Med helped to get a Dr to come on board to evaluate him and provide medications. Our stay at the Steigenberger Achti and then in Giza at the Cairo Pyramids Hotel were both good as well. We had Marwa as our guide in Cairo, and We had Marwa in Cairo and she was excellent. She allowed us to change some of the itinerary due to son in law being ill and understood what we did and didn't want to see. She was excellent. Trip date: February 2025 - SHSheraz· January 12th, 2025It was a good experience. We loved the Nile cruise. We were on MS Zeina but I felt every other cruise was better looking and more clean than Zeina. But the cabins were clean and staff was very polite and helpful. We had our Tour guide Medhet. He was excellent and very kind person. Very patient with all our requests. Always on time. Transport was excellent and always on time. We had problem with delayed domestic flights and it was tiring. This was out of anyone's control. We were given the option to buy our own entrance tickets for all the attracrion or tour company could buy these for us. We were told that its about equal plus the tip for cruise staff. We paid the company for all our temple and meuseum entrance tickets. I felts we paid about 80 to 90 dollars per person extra to company according to my calculations at the end so I would advise buy tickets yourself please and save the money. Communication with tour guides was easy on WhatsApp. And Communication with tour company was good via tourradar app. The hotel we stayed in Tolip Garden in Gardenia City was fine and clean. It was far away from old Cairo but is near to few Malls to go and visit. Breakfast was included which was good. Asked on August 25th, 2025I am planning a trip to Egypt together with two friends beginning of December this year. We have waited for the opening of Grand Egyptian Museum. Now we have read that the postponed opening has finally been set for 1 November. So I wonder if we book the trip including Cairo and Nile cruise starting 5 December can we be sure that it will include a visit to GEM? Also I have read that during the cruise the ships have to run the motors also at night and that it is best to have a cabin midships. Is it possible to book a cabin more high up and midship and be sure to get it.
