This was my first trip with Tru Travels and first ever group tour in general and I had the best time! Can’t thank Mickey enough for making sure we were all happy, going above and beyond to provide all the information we needed and making sure we had the time of our lives even through the lows. You can tell he really loves his job and is somehow always happy! I loved the combination of doing the north and south of Thailand, there was always a good balance of having lots of activities to do and things to see as well being able to wind down and relax. I’ll never forget my time in Thailand and all the amazing people I got to meet! Would 100% book another tour with Tru Travels.

Sea was the best tour guide ever! We engaged in numerous activities, and Sea not only suggested but also arranged extra activities for us on free nights. Additionally, she was always happy, incredibly caring about everyone in the group, ensuring that everyone felt okay and offering a listening ear when needed. The trip planning was impeccable and always on time. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip, and Sea made it happen!

Sea made my time in northern Thailand something I will never forget! Sea is not only a lovely kind and heart warming person but also someone that makes sure our time in Thailand was something we would never forget, for that I can not thank Sea enough! Sea started off our tour and finish our tour with the same energy and never once showed that she was tired or struggling with anything, sea made the whole experience a great atmosphere and not once did we have anything we didn’t like or situations we didn’t feel comfortable in. Sea always puts us first even at meal times by helping each and every person with their food choices and even letting everyone try hers before she has had any herself. Sea showed from early on that she is a natural kind and loving person and as the time has gone one spending each day with Sea and the rest of the group I noticed that Sea would be able to lift anybody mood no matter the situation Sea always had an outcome. Moving forward I have very big expectations as Sea has set the bar so high that I don’t think anyone can come close to her! I can truly not show Sea how grateful I am nor can I put into words how amazing she really is. My highlight was the home stay as I had a real eye opener to how people live and how caring the local people were the home stay is something I will never forget and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to experience it!

Eve and Taro were amazing! As soon as I landed I had a bumpy beginning with me getting lost around 1AM, Eve and Taro had to come save the day and they did everything to cheer me up and make sure I was safe and laughing again. I even got my Thai name and it was always a good time laughing and making the trip fun. The tour was so so much fun and everyone in the beginning of my tour are now forever friends. I am truly going to miss the adventures and the laughs. Thank you Eve and Taro for making my first ever solo trip so much fun.

Scotty, Steven and Fah. After completing the north with Smile I was unsure how the south would compare. Scotty seemed to be a little shy at first but he quickly came around. He truly is a very sweet man. His knowledge of the temples and culture was amazing. I feel honored to have learned so much from him. Fah joined us and was such a lovely sweet angel. She makes time to check in on you and make sure you’re having a good time. They went above and beyond to make this the trip of a lifetime.

  • C

    Carl

    Asked on January 26th, 2025

I wanted to ask a few questions: 1. Will the guide and the rest of the group be waiting for me at the airport terminal on the day I land in Bangkok? 2. Is there a personal group bus that will take us from everywhere to the sites in Thailand? 3. Will we only sleep in hotels on this trip? 4. Are the other participants in this trip from all countries of the world or only from a specific country?

    • TruTravelsOperatorWritten January 2025

      1. There will be someone to collect you from the airport as long as you arrive on the day tour starts or book pre-night accommodation via the tour. When you get picked up they will take you to your first accommodation. They should have a sign for TruTravels so it will be easy to find! 2. Yes we do use private van transfer! There are also times when we use public transport such as the overnight trains. 3. All the accommodation on tour is twin room hotel. 4. At the moment there isn't anyone booked onto the departure Wednesday 7 January, 2026. However, there does tend to be a mix of nationalities!

    Asked on November 19th, 2024

Is the tour operator strict about the age range for this trip? We are slightly outside the given age range of 18-45 (currently 46 and 50).

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • TruTravelsOperatorWritten November 2024

The travelers that usually book our tours are typically between the ages of 18 - 35, with most being in their early 20s. Due to the nature of our tours, we try to keep close to these average ages. Our Thailand tours can be very party-heavy, particularly in the South.
