- Anne· October 2nd, 2023the canyons were amazing each one different , , our guide was brilliant explaining what we would see, and how the rocks and canyons were formed, the optional extras were worth it, especially the helicopter through the Grand Canyon. The flight was brilliant and the grandeur of all the canyons breath taking, The trip was tiring as early starts of 6am /7am but could understand why that was necessary, an extra day in Durango would have been nice so we could of had a trip on the train,, maybe something to consider for future trips, We both thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would recommend itShow moreCostsaver commented on this reviewThank you for your feedback. - MRMaria Inmaculada· April 29th, 2022In summary: helplessness, greed of the company and discrimination. On the first day of the tour the director makes you sign a document on covid health of which he does not give you a copy. You share a room with a woman who spends several days prostrating in bed, with a cough and a bad body, and barely moving from the bus. You are worried because most of the travelers are elderly. Trusting that the tour director wants to help me, I allow him to take photos of my personal papers. Costsaver drops me off at a hotel on the outskirts of a desert town, where I have no access to medicine or a supermarket. The director of the tour wants me to stay paying in a very expensive hotel, without knowing how many days my stay will be extended. I complain to the director and he gives me false information about the cost of another hotel in downtown. The next morning the director, who has a copy of my personal documents, asks me for my credit card number and I refuse to give it to him. I spend the morning, being sick, trying to arrange my transfer to another hotel. The whole group has left and they leave me abandoned in a desert city where I don't know anyone. I feel monitored by the director and a supposed friend of him. Both send me messages, but do not fix anything. I think they wanted being protected, not protect me. Costsaver saves money for half the trip (which was 12 days), and other expenses that they obliged me to do without me needing it. Once sick, it does not leave me at the beginning or at the end of the tour. I have no record that my roommate was asked for any tests, and it coincides that I am a woman traveling alone, and the only non native English Speaker of the group. The director has kept a copy of my personal documentation, so I feel unprotected and in his hands. I recommend that women not to travel alone (specially without a man) on a Costsaver tour of the USA, above all if you are not a native English speaker or do not have English as your first language. I have received a document from Costsaver that says that I rennounced to continue my tour voluntarily. I have sent back this: You are not ashamed to lie, force, manipulate and mistreat a clientShow moreCostsaver commented on this reviewThank you for sharing your feedback here with us. We very much regret to learn that you had tested positive for Covid-19 whilst travelling with Costsaver, as we know that this was not something you were hoping to face during your vacation. Asked on April 19th, 2022Do you have a list of the optional excursions offered. I particularly want to do the slot canyon tour at Page. We have already done the Powel Lake cruise.
- CostsaverOperator•Written April 2022
We don't yet have Optional Excursions finalised for the 2023 season - this will be available towards the end of 2022/early 2023. To get an idea of the excursions we're currently operating, hop onto our website and after selecting your trip and itinerary, at the bottom of the trip description there is a bold line inviting you to explore optional experiences.

Asked on February 16th, 2022Is this tour confirmed to take place, or should we wait until it is confirmed before booking airline tickets. What time in the afternoon on June 19, 2022 do we meet tour guide at the hotel? What time will we be dropped off at the airport on June 30, 2022 after the tour. Can I reserve my hotel room one day earlier (June18)? AND, can I keep the same room for June 19 tour meeting.
- CostsaverOperator•Written February 2022
This trip is still showing as available and has not moved to definite status. We can book your flights if you want to make sure its covered if any rescheduling occurs. Otherwise, if booking on your own, yes you can wait until the trip status has changed. Airport arrival on the last day of your guided vacation will be at 6 p.m. The arrival meet with the Travel Director the first day will be in the late afternoon. Complimentary transfers are ONLY offered to guests who book flights directly thru CostSaver. Chargeable transfers are available for guests who purchase flights on their own at $23 per person. We can book a pre/post nights at the Golden Nugget, which they do generally allow guests to stay in the same room for the first night of the trip. The cost for an additional night is $144 per person in a twin room. We recommend bringing a flashlight for use in the National Parks as lighting is often limited on the walking paths at night.
