John· April 29th, 2024The tour itself had some wonderful experiences. The El Chepe train journey and overlooking the Copper Canyon at Divisadero were the two standouts. However the only issue I had was with the logisitics and how they were handled. I asked whether I was travelling alone, and the answer I received was vague which should have run some alarms as indeed I was. The 'WhatsApp' virtual guide was helpful but it did mean that I was three people away from those who were meant to be my guides or drivers for each particular day's activities. This meant it was quite challenging to get up-to-date information, especially when on the first morning one voucher had me transferred from Los Mochis airport to a particular hotel, and a second one had a tour guide picking me up at another (where I was meant to have breakfast). This had a number of knock-on effects not just that day but later in the trip as re-imbursement for the breakfast I had to pay for was resolved. All-in-all the substance of the trip was excellent, although more challenging than I'd hoped as a non Spanish speaker, but the logistics could have been better.Show moreTrip date: April 2024
