- DWDanny· April 10th, 2025this was a great tour - Omar was especially great! I liked the mix of activities, and mix of guides.Show moreTrip date: March 2025
- PBPatrick· December 22nd, 2023Too short, but that was our fault. They do nickle and dime you to death; $1here, $5 there for all the transport. The location was beautiful, the hotel was good. Guides were nice and helpful. The trip was overall worth it, will most likely go back.Show moreTrip date: December 2023
- ACAmanda· July 14th, 2023When we arrived in the Galapagos, Johnny, the owner of Natura Gardens welcomed us with a sign. He showed us how to get a bus ticket, rode with us in the boat taxi and then transported us in his vehicle to the hotel. Upon our arrival at the Natura Gardens, Johnny, his family and staff were so welcoming, accommodating and generous. My husband and I were celebrating our Honeymoon. Johnny created the word "LOVE" with rose petals on our bed and made us a romantic candlelit dinner with fresh flowers. We were astonished and overjoyed with his thoughtfulness to make our stay so special. You can feel Johnny's love for his community and excitement for the excursions we participated in. He always asked about our experiences and our thoughts. Johnny knows a lot about the Galapagos and told us a lot about the area. He did a wonderful job giving us our itinerary and what to expect for each activity. The food was excellent and always served in a timely manner. We absolutely recommend the Natura Gardens for your next stay! The staff are so friendly and welcoming, their generosity is unmatched.Show moreVia Natura Ecuador commented on this reviewDear Amanda, Greetings from Ecuador. - Rachel· November 8th, 2022Accommodations and food: The hotel was nice enough. It's a little bit far away from everything we did, but transportation was provided so it wasn't a big deal. Hotel was clean and accommodations were adequate. Low water pressure in the shower, and it took about 10 minutes for the water to heat up, but it was adequate. Breakfasts were not very good. We were served stale rolls, a half slice of deli ham, a gooey block of cheese, and cold scrambled eggs every morning. Lunches were delicious and dinners were pretty good. Hospitality: Johnny as a host was... mediocre. He drove us and dropped us off at our excursions, most of which were us joining another group of travelers being led by one of Johnny's friends. Johnny was very much a middleman, just dropping us off with other tour groups that we had no connection to. Johnny spoke no English and communication was a bit difficult. The whole hotel is run by Johnny, his 13-year-old son and two younger children, and another woman in their family who is apparently not Johnny's wife (she runs the kitchen). It's a little bit of a strange dynamic having children serving you your meals. Activities: The tours and activities we went on were wonderful, but too short. We loved seeing the tortoises and lava tunnels, we loved going to Tortuga Bay, and we loved our day on Isabella Island. However, the activities each day ended around 4 PM, and then Johnny dropped us off in Puerto Ayora to "explore the city" until 7:30 each night before picking us up for the 25-minute ride to dinner back at the hotel. The whole "city" is very small and walkable; we got bored looking at the same souvenirs in the same tourist shops after about an hour, but we managed to take our time enough to fill the full 3 hours on our first night. We were surprised and disappointed when Johnny dropped us off in the same spot the second AND third nights. There's nothing to do but buy cheap souvenirs and go to bars, which we don't do, so we were pretty bored. Johnny told us the alternative was just going back and sitting at the hotel, which has no wifi or cell service and very few activities to do. When we only had 3 days in the Galapagos Islands, we were hoping to use more of that time experiencing the islands themselves. We wish there had been more activities/tours included in this package. It was a bit slow paced for us.Show moreVia Natura Ecuador commented on this reviewDear Rachel Thank you for contacting us. Asked on September 19th, 2022Would it be possible to adjust the itinerary to 3 Nights / 4 Days, leaving at midday to mainland Ecuador on the fourth day? We are looking at dates in the last week of November.
- Via Natura EcuadorOperator•Written September 2022
We have a 3 nights / 4 days Galapagos Discovery Tour. You will leave to Ecuador mainland on the fourth day. I think this one would perfectly suit what you are looking for!

Asked on August 15th, 2022Would we be able to attend all of the events on the first day of the tour, or would we miss out on the Giant Tortoise Reserve?
- Via Natura EcuadorOperator•Written August 2022
If you arrive at 12:20PM you will not miss out the visit to the Giant Tortoise Reserve. That time arrival would be great, so do not worry! You will be able to observe very closely at Giant Tortoises in their natural habitat and its peculiar behavior.

Asked on June 8th, 2022Is your boat the Montserrat? Wondering how 6 foot tall people fit the accomodations?
- Via Natura EcuadorOperator•Written June 2022
6 feet tall people will perfectly fit in our cabins. Beds and cabin height is about 6.5 feet, so that would not be a problem!

Asked on January 14th, 20221)Our chosen tour id is for May 26-30, 2022 for $899/per person 2) We are ready to pay. Do we pay individually via Tourradar? 3) I was messaged in my email that I do get some form of discount by bringing 10 people as a group. I would like to know specifically how much so I'll know how much to pay? 4) I would like to know what time is the pick up from the airport in Baltra or does it depend on our flight arrival? 5) Is there a tour on the 5th day (May 30th) in the morning? If none, then I could go ahead and book a flight anytime?
- Via Natura EcuadorOperator•Written January 2022
There are no excursions scheduled for the last day so you can book your return flight any time. To book the whole group of 10 guests, the group should be divided in 5 different bookings of the people that are sharing the room together. We will make that internal note to our operations team. We will book you last to make sure we apply the 5% additional discount and the upgrade to the Superior Room.

Traveler•Written January 2022May I ask if we can buy the day to day tour from you when we get there? We're kind of wary now in buying the tour package right away because of the Omicron virus surge. We can't foresee what will happen. Buying it when we get there gives us more flexibility in case some of us would rather just do 1 or 2 day trips and the month of May is low season anyway? Plus, some in our group would rather do scuba diving.
- Via Natura EcuadorOperator•Written January 2022
The promotion of 10% ends at the end of this month. You can buy separately the different excursions but if you add them together, it will probably add to more than just buying them in a package. Also, there is always the issue of availability at the time of booking. If you make the reservation of this package before the end of the month you can take advantage of the 10% discount and if for covid related reasons, you need to postpone the trip, you can always do that on another date in 2022.

Asked on January 6th, 2022Please let me know what airport we should fly into? Should we fly to Quito first? Do my husband and I get an incentive for bringing in 8 people? Also, is this an all-inclusive tour ( Tours, accommodations, and all meals)?
- Via Natura EcuadorOperator•Written January 2022
I would recommend you to fly into Quito, one of the most beautiful cities in Latin America. We would be pleased to grant you and your husband an incentive if you have a group of 8 people. This program includes all tours (excursions in the Galapagos), accommodations, and meals. Meals begin with lunch and end with breakfast.

Traveler•Written January 2022Will you please explain the $500 air tickets. Is it from Lima to Quito, Quito to Baltra and back to Quito?
- Via Natura EcuadorOperator•Written January 2022
The $500 air tickets are for the route Quito/Guayaquil to Galapagos and back to Quito/Guayaquil.
- Via Natura EcuadorOperator•Written January 2022
We can generate an individual payment link for every guest. There is a single supplement if guests want to have a single room to themselves. As this tour is a budget friendly experience, we are happy to provide an additional 5% discount for you and your husband and offer an optional upgrade to Superior Room.
