You'll arrive in Kathmandu and head to your hotel, which sits near shops and restaurants. It's a straightforward transfer from the airport, so you can settle in and get oriented at a comfortable pace.

Kathmandu to Taplejung
Start early for the drive to Kathmandu airport, then take a domestic flight to Bhadrapur. From there, a jeep ride carries you through tea gardens to Taplejung, where you'll meet your trekking team and prepare gear for the next day.

Fungling to Mitlung
The trek kicks off from Fungling, taking you through cardamom fields and Alnus trees to Hangdewa village. You'll walk alongside the Tamor River banks afterward, ending at a camping site in Mitlung with kitchen and dining setup ready.

Mitlung to Tawa Village

Chiruwa to Pembu

Lelep to Gowatar
Trek through dense forest along the Tamor River, crossing a suspension bridge and climbing into pine forest toward a monastery. After descending to Gowatar for lunch, you'll catch sight of two 100-meter waterfalls that dominate the landscape.

Suspension Bridge to Selep Kharka
Walking through Ulnus and Rhododendron forests, you'll cross another suspension bridge and pass bamboo groves where red pandas live. Lunch happens at Maguwa, then the trek continues through maple and Ulnus forests to Selep Kharka, crossing a large landslide along the way.

Jongim to Olangchung Gola
The route follows the Tamor River to Jongim, a flat area surrounded by snow-capped hills. After crossing a suspension bridge and climbing to Ramite for lunch, you'll keep ascending to the Olangchung Gola camping site.

Olangchung Gola to Upper Langmale

Pass Camp to Lumba Sumba Pass
This is the toughest day of the entire trek. An early start gets you to Lumba Sumba Pass at 5200m before noon. The payoff is huge: panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Jannu Himal, and Makalu ranges spread across the eastern Nepal horizon.

Yakkharka to Thudam
After three demanding days at high altitude, the trek turns downhill as you head back toward civilization. About 6 hours of walking brings you to Thudam, a small Sherpa village with only around 30 houses.

Thudam to Kharka
Trek along the Chujung Khola with panoramic views of the Makalu range peaks. You'll walk through small bushes and bamboo groves, a red panda habitat, navigating numerous ups and downs to reach Kharka for the night.

Kharka to Chyamthang
Dense rhododendron forest surrounds the trail with no villages nearby and multiple side trails to watch for. Lunch comes at Chaurikharka with clear views of Chyamtang and the Arun River. After eating, the path descends to the river, crosses a suspension bridge, then climbs to Chyamthang.

Chyamthang to Hatiya
Walking through rhododendron forest from Chyamthang, you'll reach Gimber Village for lunch with spectacular snow-capped peaks of the Makalu range visible. The easy three-hour trek after lunch takes you to Hatiya, a small village of Bhote people.

Hatiya to Gola
Trek along the Arun River banks. After roughly 2.5 hours, you'll arrive at the confluence of the Arun and Barun rivers where lunch is set up. From there, continue trekking toward Gola for the night.

Gola to Gadhi
Descending into the lowlands, you'll trek through paddy fields with short ups and downs across agricultural land and small settlements. Pathibhara appears for lunch after about 2.5 hours, then the route continues through farming areas to Gadhi for the night.

Gadhi to Tumlingtar
The final trekking day has you walking downhill from Gadhi for about an hour to the Arun River. After crossing, climb uphill for roughly 2 hours to Num village. From there, a jeep takes a dirt road for around 4 hours to Tumlingtar, where an airstrip waits.

Tumlingtar to Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu after breakfast and check into your hotel. The afternoon is free, so you can rest or walk around Kathmandu at whatever pace feels right for you.
