When reaching the town of Sur the they tell you that you will spend the night in Ras El Jin so that you may have the possibility of watching turtles laying their eggs (optional) and the next morning enjoy the sunrise and a swim on the beach. What actually happens is that they will tell you the no allocations of rooms is available and they will book for you an hotel in Sur so that if you want to go for the optional of watching the the turtles you have to drive from Sur to Ras El Jin and back at night (55 km.
