- ASAerin· September 30th, 2025Honestly I was a bit sceptical given all the glowing reviews and all the fake reviews that seem to be out there these days, but ACE were truely fantastic. I arrived in Nepal just after the riots during the final day of lockdown and it was very calm and peaceful. Everyone was very happy to see tourists and the place was very clean. I was supposed to do the Everest Base Camp trek but bad weather cancelled all flights including helicpoters to Lukla, so our group decided to do ABC instead. Throughout the process both Sujan in the office and our guide Ram were very professional and made sure we understood all the options. They picked me up from the airport even though I arrived early and was staying at a different hotel, and then picked me up again to transfer me to the group trek hotel. What I really liked about ACE, and the main reasons I chose them was that they are a local company with extremely experienced guides (15+ years), but also they actually include things that many of the other big operators like Intrepid and G do not, like nearly all meals, as much filtered water as we wanted as well as hot drinks. This to me made a huge difference overall. The food was also varied and actually very good at all the teahouses. It certainly wasnt Dal Bhat every meal. It was at times even too much food. I think I actually put on weight during the trek. The porters were also always friendly and smiling, helping out with food and filtered water. The trek itself was more geueling than I anticipated with a lot of stairs and a lot of up and down compared to Everest, but we had clear days and excellent mountain views at the top. Seriously, if you are looking for value for money and a professional local operator you will not go wrong choosing ACE.Show moreTrip date: September 2025
- AAlisonSkiles· January 24th, 2020I started the Everest Base Camp trek with Nimesh in March 2019, and I absolutely loved having him as my guide. At every step, from the initial pre-trip meeting to handling flights to Lukla to directing the porters and dealing with our crazy group, Nimesh was kind, patient, steadfast and intelligent. I hurt my ankle in Namche Bazaar and, since I insisted on continuing, Nimesh quickly arranged a horse and horseman to take me to Tengboche. He treated my ankle that night with knowledge and care. When the next morning it became apparent I could not go on, he immediately called a helicopter and had me on it in less than 20 minutes, then had his friend meet me in Lukla to meet the helicopter and arrange the flight back to Kathmandu. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to try to do all this myself, but Nimesh handled the situation with empathy and urgency. Nimesh’s insight into the culture, expert counsel to his clients and skill on the trail are beyond compare. Plus, he’s a great conversationalist and very funny, and truly wants to learn about his clients. I am returning this year for another EBC trip with Ace, and insisted on having Nimesh as my guide—because I wanted the best, and that’s what he is. I can’t wait!Show moreTrip date: March 2019
