- SFSusan· June 20th, 2024The trek was amazing! Because it was just me and one guide, we had some flexibility. Coming back down from base camp I was feeling slower than expected so we added an extra day to my trek. I recommend future trekkers to take extra time going down if you're like me and want to take it easy and see a lot, instead of rush (the itinerary for coming back from base camp doubles the distance some days, which I understand some people need in order to finish their trip in a timely manner). Just make sure there is communication between the guide and porter so if you need to shorten a day, that you have your things too. My guide (Furinji) was excellent, full of information and good advice for helping with acclimation. I highly recommend him as your guide! The acclimation hikes were very helpful on the way up. One other thing, though, it was suggested that I bring a 40L day pack but I think 30L would have been fine since I had a porter. I would definitely do this trek again!Show moreTrip date: May 2024

Asked on April 27th, 2025I am looking to book the 14 days EBC trip arriving in KTM airport on May 5th. However, in the description of the trip I saw it mentioned that in May need to go from Katmandu to Ramechhap airport. I don't understand will this transfer be covered? Will someone pick me up from Katmandu airport after I land? Also, this is my first hiking trip and I am not sure if I am physically fit enough to do it. I am 38 years old. The trip itinerary doesn't indicate number of kms/miles trekked per day. Could you please provide these details?

Asked on April 21st, 2025Im considering doing the everest base camp trek with your company in october. Im 44 years with active lifestyle (I play padel two times a week and swim at least two times a week also). I did a trek in patagonia 8 years ago (w circuit). but i normally dont trek. What recomendations you have in terms of physical preparation? What should i expect in termos of accomodations? I have to arrive the day before of the trek and leave the day after the trek ends, can your company arrange the extra accomodation? The travel to the airport can be arranged with you?
- Sherpa Expedition TeamsOperator•Written April 2025
With your active lifestyle and previous trekking experience in Patagonia, you're already in a great place to take on the trek. We recommend adding some light hiking or walking on varied terrain in the weeks leading up to the trip, especially with a backpack, to help condition your legs and improve endurance. In terms of accommodations, you can expect a mix depending on the route—typically a combination of comfortable mountain lodges or refuges and cozy, well-equipped campsites. We'll provide all the details in your itinerary. Yes, we can definitely help arrange the extra nights of accommodation before and after the trek, and we also offer airport pick-up and drop-off. Just let us know your travel dates, and we'll take care of the logistics for you.
