Kathmandu
You'll land at Tribhuvan International Airport where someone from the company meets you and drives you to your hotel. That evening, there's a chance to meet the other trekkers and your guides.

Landmarks Tribhuvan International Airport - Day 2
Kathmandu to Beshisahar
Starting from Kathmandu, you'll drive along the Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway to Dumre, then take the paved road next to the Marshyangdi River toward Beshisahar. Along the way you'll pass mountain peaks, rice fields, and watch local people working in their villages and fields.

Landmarks Marshyangdi River - Day 3
Beshisahar to Bahundanda
The trail runs flat beside the Marshyangdi River through Gurung communities where you can see daily life and local culture. After lunch, things change as you climb steeply for about 2 hours to reach Bahundanda, where snow-capped peaks come into view.

Landmarks Marshyangdi River - Day 4
Bahundanda to Jagat
You'll start with a steep drop for roughly 30 minutes, then walk through flat rice terraces and cross a small stream with a waterfall. The path continues uphill above the river, passes through Lali Gaon village, then reaches Syange with its waterfall. From there, you traverse a narrow path perched 200 to 300 meters above the river before arriving at the stone buildings of Jagat.

Landmarks Marshyangdi River Syange - Day 5
Jagat to Dharapani
After descending to the river, you'll cross a suspension bridge and climb sharply to Sattale on a tight path. The trail then rises and falls across rocky sections and zigzag slopes, opening onto the flat plains of Tal. You'll see waterfalls, pass through narrowing valley terrain, cross another suspension bridge, and finish at Dharapani.

Landmarks Marshyangdi River Tal - Day 6
Dharapani to Chame
Walking upward through pine and oak forests, you'll pass through Danaque, cross a small wooden bridge, then climb steeply toward Timang at the base of Lamajung Himal. The trail flattens out as you reach Chame, the district headquarters where there are government offices, shops, and lodges.

Landmarks Lamajung Himal - Day 7
Chame to Pisang
Early morning light shows Lamjung Himal standing at 6893 meters. You'll trek through fir and pine forests, climbing into rockier terrain as the opposite valley wall becomes steeper and unpassable. By the time you reach Bhratang, the valley closes in dramatically. Walking through more pine forest, the valley opens into a U-shape with views of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak ahead. You'll reach the long Mani wall and the lower village of Pisang.

Landmarks Lamjung Himal Pisang Peak Annapurna II - Day 8
Pisang to Manang
The route follows steep ridges with good sight lines to Manang valley and Tilicho Peak. You'll pass Humde airstrip where Annapurna III rises into view, then spot Annapurna IV from the Sabje Khola Valley plains. After crossing the Marshyangdi Khola on a wooden bridge and passing through tiny Mungji village, you'll climb steeply to Manang, a sizable settlement in this remote mountain area.

Landmarks Tilicho Peak Annapurna III Annapurna IV Marshyangdi River - Day 9
Manang (Rest and Acclimatization)
This is your rest day in Manang to help with altitude adjustment. If you want to stay active, there are several options including a walk across the river to see an icefall from the Annapurnas, a high ridge hike for panoramic views of the mountains and valley, or a trip to Ganagapurna Glacier Lake.

Manang to Yak Kharka
You'll walk through high sandy mountains without trees, just barren terrain and wide views, which takes 3 to 4 hours. Then the trail climbs gently through Gunsang village toward Yak Kharka. Because of the altitude, you'll need to move slowly, drink water frequently, and take breaks as you soak in the panoramic landscape.

Landmarks Gunsang - Day 11
Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi
From Yak Kharka, you'll climb gradually to a ridge, then drop to the Marshyangdi headwaters and cross via a covered wooden bridge. After that, you'll ascend on the right bank, walk across an unstable scree slope on a narrow section, then descend to Thorong Phedi where you'll camp before crossing the major pass tomorrow.

Landmarks Marshyangdi River - Day 12
Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (Thorong La Crossing)
This is the toughest day of the entire trek. You'll start before sunrise to cross Thorong La at 5416 meters because winds pick up later in the day. The crossing takes 7 to 8 hours and offers views ranging from snow-covered peaks to the Kali Gandaki valley and the brown and purple hills of Mustang. After descending through grassy slopes along Jhong Khola Valley, you'll reach Muktinath with its shrines and temples.

Muktinath to Marpha
You'll begin a dramatic descent down the Kali Gandaki Gorge through arid, Tibet-like terrain. Walking through Jharkot and Khingar villages with their traditional Tibetan architecture, you'll follow the valley floor toward Jomsom with fine views of the Nilgiri peaks. From there, continue down to Marpha, a charming Thakali village known for its unique underground drainage systems beneath flagstone streets and narrow alleys that protect from the strong gorge winds.

Landmarks Kali Gandaki Gorge Nilgiri - Day 14
Marpha to Ghasa
The trail drops steeply through forests to Ghasa, the last Thakali village and the southern limit of Tibetan Buddhism. Starting relatively flat toward Kalopani, the path then descends steeply. You'll pass through areas with pine, rhododendron, and birch forests and see panoramic views of Mount Nilgiri (three peaks), Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri I, and Tukuche Peak.

Ghasa to Tatopani
The trail descends steeply to Rukse Chhahara, known for its waterfall and situated in the world's deepest gorge between Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri I. It's a good place to rest as the climate becomes warmer after many cold days in the mountains. After that, you'll climb slightly through various settlements to reach Tatopani.

Landmarks Rukse Chhahara Annapurna I Dhaulagiri I - Day 16
Tatopani
At Tatopani on the Kali Gandaki River, you can relax and soak in the natural hot spring. After several days of trekking, bathing here helps refresh both body and mind. Local tradition says the hot springs can help with skin conditions and provide physical and mental renewal.

Landmarks Kali Gandaki River - Day 17
Tatopani to Ghorepani
You'll walk on relatively flat terrain for a while, then climb steeply for about an hour. The path continues upward through villages where people of different castes live and farm. Many locals have served or serve in Gorkha and Indian military units. You'll cross the Kali Gandaki River with views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges.

Ghorepani to Tikhedhunga (Poon Hill Sunrise)
An early start gets you to Poon Hill at 3210 meters to watch the sunrise light up Mt. Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, the Nilgiri peaks, Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna peaks plus numerous other snow-capped mountains. After breakfast, you'll trek from Ghorepani to Tikhedhunga through deep rhododendron, bamboo, and oak forests. Along the way you'll see waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, birds, Gurung settlements, and green vegetation.

Tikhedhunga to Pokhara
Following breakfast, you'll descend toward Nayapul through Banthanti. At Birethati on the Modi Khola riverside, you'll have your final meal on the mountain, marking the end of the Annapurna Circuit. From Nayapul, a taxi takes you to Pokhara where you'll spend the afternoon at the lakeside.

Landmarks Nayapul Modi Khola - Day 20
Pokhara to Kathmandu
The drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes you through Damauli, Dumre, Muglin, and Kurintar, where you can see Nepal's first cable car going up to Manakamana Temple. You'll pass mountain views, green fields, rice terraces, vegetable farms, and people in their daily routines. Climbing from Naubishe to Thankot at Kathmandu's gateway, you'll have a farewell dinner that evening at an authentic Nepalese restaurant with cultural performance.
