Camping entails sleeping in canvas tents, making use of a canvas mattress and a sleeping bag. Yes we pitch tents. Yes we stop at Tropic of Capricorn sign along the way. There are 2 options for wildlife conservation: we can see them along the way to Etosha or visit the conservancy with an extra fee.

My tour was conducted by discovery tours and transfers. Due to heavy rains, part of it was not possible to visit. Also camping was not possible so upgraded to lodges. Not a minute of regret. Very experienced guide, Llucas who sought a solution for everything. Twyfelfontein was cancelled and as an alternative Spitskoph was proposed to me. Worthy altrnative. In short, a perfect tour

  Do we or staff pitch the tents? Is there an option to do this tour staying in a lodge vs. camping? When looking online there seemed to be the option of a twin room or private tent, which is more expensive. Can you explain the differences?

  You are free to help the guide pitch the tents, if not he can do it on his own. Yes you can opt for a lodging tour same package goes for USD 2400 per person. The lodging is a bit expensive because you will be staying in Lodges (normal room set up)

- For any tour departing before September 13th, 2025 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after September 13th, 2025, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Discovery Transfers and Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 40 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Discovery Transfers and Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
