- KPKoh· August 24th, 2025This is our 2nd trip with Nepal Trekking Routes. We were so pleased with our Langtang trek last year that we decided to return to Nepal with the same company. Shailesh, the owner is very responsive and professional. He replied all our queries promptly in preparation for the trip. He also personally pucked us up from the Kathmandu airport and sent us off on the last day. We went on the Upper Mustang trek with a friend, and it turned out to be one of the best trips we’ve done together. The whole journey was really well organized, so we could just relax and enjoy the experience. One big plus was having attached bathrooms everywhere we stayed – something you don’t usually get on treks in Nepal. It made things so much more comfortable after a long day of hiking. The itinerary was flexible too. On days when we felt a bit tired, our guide adjusted the pace and plan so we never felt rushed. That really helped us enjoy the trek at our own rhythm. The landscapes were simply stunning – dramatic cliffs, desert valleys, and beautiful old monasteries. Our guide shared lots of stories about the history and culture of the region, which made it even more special. Overall, trekking in Upper Mustang with Nepal Trekking Routes was an incredible experience. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, comfort, and culture, we would highly recommend it.Show more

Trip date: August 2025 - Kay· August 23rd, 2025I did the 10 day trek at Upper Mustang with Nepal Trekking Routes. From the start, I was already impressed with how organised and responsive the owner, Mr Shailesh was. Our guide was experienced and knowledgeable about the area, and we were also lucky to have two extremely capable team members, Bishnu Magar and Bishnu Rizal, who were very attentive to safety and very helpful. They even found blister tape for my toes when I ran out of tape on the trek. It was a pleasure being on trek with them, and the team and Shailesh were flexible to let us change portions of the itinerary according to our needs and interests. Mustang there is road but not paved. Some of the part before Jomsome road is paved. It is bumpy road up to Lo Manthang. I am preety sure that road wiill be the perfect in September as well. I am not sure about exact numbers of the car are passing everyday but there are some. There are Mixed trail for trekking. some of the part are in road and some of the part are in the trekking trail.
