  Acorn Travel Bhutan provided my family with an excellent guide and driver. The guide (Norbu) was extremely knowledgable regarding Bhutanese culture, the Bhuddist philosophy and bird identification. Our driver (Kinley) was also excellent providing us with safe and relaxed transportation. The guide and driver made for a superlative team, always on time and willing to be flexible to take us off the itinerary whenever we requested. A huge thank you to Karma at Acorn Bhutan travel and Tour Radar for coordinating the trip. The only snafu was negotiating a transfer through Delhi which required a transit visa inspite of online informatioin to the contrary that states a visa is not necessary if you are staying at the Delhi Holiday Inn airport hotel for less than 24 hours. The online visa application is confusing and difficult to complete. My advice is to skip Delhi altogether as the bureaucracy is intolerable and the agents at the airport are difficult. Find an easier route.

  Everything about Acorn Tours was great! From the time we started to plan our trip, to when we landed for our adventure until we sadly departed this amazing country, we were given Karma's full attention and extensive expertise. We benefited from the Bhutan Acorn Tours and Travel being the only Bhutan owned tour guide company. The knowledge, flexibility, respect, and kindness we were treated with made our trip above and beyond expectations! We customized our cultural and hiking trip to suit our desires and abilities. When unforeseen circumstances arose, they were positive, understanding and flexible, adapting on the fly. I am sure that all of the company's guides are wonderful. Our guide Norbu imparted an amazing knowledge of his country, trekking, flora, fauna, photography, culture, and Buddhist history which he shared with jovial pride. Irene M

  Our 10-day tour of Bhutan was nothing short of amazing! The entire trip was well-planned, Mr Karma was quick to respond to our questions before the tour, and also checked in with us during the trip. Our guide Sonam and driver Dorji were not only professional but also incredibly friendly, caring and sweet. They made us feel well looked after throughout the tour. Mr Dorji is an exceptional driver navigating some tricky narrow lanes and we felt safe throughout. Their deep knowledge about Bhutanese history and culture helped us appreciate this incredible country. The serene landscapes, from lush valleys to majestic mountains, were breathtaking. Visiting monasteries and experiencing local traditions made us appreciate a different way of life that brings peace and happiness. A heartfelt thank you to the team for creating such a memorable experience!

  The trip was very well organised and our female guide Sangay and female driver Dawa were amazing. We were an all female group and it was for all of us great.   This trip was life-changing for me. I loved every moment spent in Bhutan. It is truly a deeply spiritual and magical place. Our guide and driver were incredibly generous and knowledgable people.   Thank you for the fabulous tour you created for us and your wonderful team, Tashi and Tinzhin. Tashi was a spectacular guide who took excellent care of me as some of the hikes, especially to Bundrak, was quite hard for me due to the altitude. I would have never been able to accomplish my goal of making it to the top if it wasn't for him. Tashi was knowledgeable and regaled us with many conversations about culture and historical facts. Tinzhin was an excellent driver, amazing every time he maneuvered the tiny one-lane roads, and always so sweet, helping me with packages and caring for our picnic lunches. It was an experience I'll never forget! I hope to return someday to this beautiful country with its lovely people.

  We were absolutely delighted to have tour with this company. From the time when we first contacted the company via email, everything was so seamless and professional. Lhendup is a superb guide and photographer. We have some brilliant memories to take home. We were really lucky to have him. He listens to our comments and adjust the itinary accordingly without any additional cost. After finding out when is our wedding anniversary, Lhendup and Perma went to surprise us during dinner. It makes our wedding anniversary very memorable. Both the guide and driver rather work late then rush us. They are also very attentive and have a brilliant sense of humour. There is one day I laughed so much, I have forgotten how cold it was outside. We would highly recommend this tour company and the guide + driver. Thanks for giving us such a memorable trip and we now fully understand why Bhutan is the happiest place on earth!
