Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Cairo to Siwa Oasis

    Your guide meets you at your Cairo hotel, then you'll drive northwest across the Western Desert toward El Alamein. Once there, you'll spend time at the War Museum and walk through the Commonwealth Cemetery. After that, the route continues deeper into the desert to reach Siwa Oasis by evening. You'll check into your eco-lodge and have dinner there.

  2. Day 2

    Siwa Oasis

    After breakfast, you'll head out to see the Oracle Temple of Amun and the ancient Shali Fortress, which sits on high ground with great views across the oasis. Later you'll cool off at Cleopatra Spring and check out the Salt Lakes. In the afternoon, a 4x4 takes you into the desert for sandboarding and to watch the sunset. You'll be back for dinner at the lodge.

  3. Day 3

    Great Sand Sea

    The morning starts at Shiata Lake where you can take photos and watch for birds. Then a 4x4 heads deep into the Great Sand Sea to reach Bir Wahed, a hot spring where you can soak in the warm sulfuric waters. Sandboarding is available if you want to try it. You'll watch the Sahara sunset from there before heading back to the eco-lodge.

  4. Day 4

    Siwa Oasis

    Breakfast happens among the palm groves, then you'll visit local date and olive farms to see how things are grown traditionally and try fresh products. From there, you can walk through Siwa's markets looking for handmade crafts. Later you'll go to the Mountain of the Dead to see ancient rock-cut tombs. The rest of the day is free, so you can relax by Cleopatra Spring or the Salt Lakes.

  5. Day 5

    Siwa to Cairo

    After breakfast, you'll start the drive back across the Western Desert toward Cairo. The route has rest stops so you can take photos of the dunes and grab refreshments. Once you reach Cairo, your representative helps with your hotel drop-off or arranges transport to Cairo International Airport for your next flight.

  • Payment information
    • For any tour departing before May 23rd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 23rd, 2026, a minimum payment of 90% is required to confirm your booking with Your Egypt Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 160 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
