- Day 1
Budapest to Timisoara
You'll leave Budapest and head into Romania, arriving in Timisoara for your first night. The city has this interesting blend of Turkish, Serbian, Austrian, and German influences visible in its architecture, which actually earned it the title of European Capital of Culture in 2023. Once you check in, you can walk around and get a feel for the place before settling in.

Landmarks/POIs Timisoara - Day 2
Corvin Castle - Alba Iulia - Sibiu
Start the day with breakfast, then head to Corvin Castle, a Gothic fortress that's quite impressive to see in person. From there you'll continue on to Alba Iulia, a city with real historical weight since this is where Great United Romania was formed on December 1st, 1918. By evening you'll arrive in Sibiu, which held the title of European Capital of Culture back in 2007. The medieval Clock Tower, Brukenthal Museum, and various squares with the Evangelical Cathedral are all worth checking out here.

Sighisoara - Brasov
After breakfast, you're heading to Sighisoara, a UNESCO-protected fortress city where the medieval center remains well preserved. This is also where Vlad Tepes (Count Dracula) was born, so there's that connection. Later on you'll reach Brasov to see the Black Church, which happens to be Romania's largest Gothic church, plus the old town area with its Saxon houses. You'll take a walking tour that covers historic civil and religious buildings like the Council House, Gates Schei, and Gate Ecaterina.

Bran Castle - Sinaia - Bucharest
You'll start with breakfast and then visit Bran Castle, built between 1377 and 1382 on a large rock and linked to the Vlad Tepes legend. Next you'll go to Sinaia for Peles Castle, which is considered one of Europe's most beautiful castles and was the first of its kind to have central heating and an elevator installed. The castle's theater even hosted Romania's first film screening. You'll arrive in Bucharest in the afternoon to wrap up the day.
