Hanoi
Arriving in Hanoi midday and heading straight into the historic district. You'll check out Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his stilt house, then move on to the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. In the late afternoon, a pedi-cab takes you to Ngoc Son Temple before dinner. Tonight you're staying at a four-star hotel in the city center.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Leaving Hanoi early morning for the 3.5-hour drive to Halong Bay. Once you board the cruise ship, there's a welcome cocktail followed by lunch. The rest of the day is spent cruising through thousands of limestone islands in the emerald waters. Dinner happens onboard, and the ship stays anchored for the night.

- Day 3
Halong Bay to Hanoi
Starting early with a Tai Chi class right on deck as the sun comes up. After that, the ship continues cruising and you'll explore one of the bay's largest caves. Brunch happens onboard, then you disembark at 11:00 a.m. for the drive back to Hanoi. Along the way, there's a stop to try traditional pho soup at Dinh Bang communal hall. This evening brings a traditional water puppetry show and dinner back in Hanoi before settling into your hotel.

Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City
Flying from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City this morning, then getting settled at your hotel in the city center for lunch. The afternoon tour covers the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Saigon Central Post Office. From there, heading to Cholon to see the Chinese-influenced market and Thien Hau temple. Later you'll transfer to your river ship, get checked into cabins, meet the crew at a welcome cocktail, and have dinner onboard.

You have a choice today. Spend the morning onboard relaxing, or take an optional excursion to the Cu Chi tunnels, the extensive underground network from the Vietnam War. After lunch, there's a visit to the Museum of Vietnamese History. The ship then starts heading toward the Cho Gao canal, and you'll spend another night onboard.

Cho Gao Canal and Mekong Delta
Cruising through the Cho Gao Canal gives you a look at daily Vietnamese life centered on fishing, farming, and transport along the water. In My Tho, you stop at a bee farm to have honey tea and sample exotic fruit, then take sampans through the mangrove-lined waterways. After lunch onboard, the ship moves to Vinh Long in the Mekong Delta where you'll visit a brick and pottery factory and see how they make puffed rice, rice-paper wrappers, and rice alcohol. Another night onboard follows.

You return to the ship for lunch as it departs toward Chau Doc, a border town between Cambodia and Vietnam with a history dating back 300 years. The ship stays anchored overnight.

Free time lets you explore the market before heading back to the ship for a classical Khmer dancing and music performance. Dinner happens onboard with an overnight stay in port.

Later there's time at the Angkor Night Market, then dinner and an overnight stay at a four-star or five-star hotel depending on which cruise option you selected.
