Asked on January 6th, 2023Please can you confirm how the tour will be affected by Ramadan eg will we be able to eat drink whilst cycling? What will breakfast / lunch arrangements be?
Intrepid TravelOperator•Written January 2023Ramadan is a festival of sacrifice where the devout refrain from eating or drinking during daylight hours. During Ramadan, business hours are shortened, including opening hours at some tourist attractions. Alcohol is not permitted during daylight hours and many restaurants will be closed. While you should expect some delays and inconveniences during this period, the month is a fantastic opportunity to travel in a Muslim country and witness this unique period, particularly the nightly celebrations when the sun sets and the fast is broken.

We have heard back from our operations team that Ramadan won't affect the tour in any way. The only difference is that some shops/restaurants will start opening up closer to afternoon hours instead of early morning. The tour inclusions and meals arrangement won't be affected.
