Dear Ara, Due to the location of the lodge in the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, there are times that the hot water may be turned off. It is always recommended to speak with the lodge manager and staff so they can help at that moment. They may have... Show more

My 5 Day tour has the itenerary that had a visit to the sharman to learn about the medical plants and the wedding celemony on the third day which never happened. According to the local guide, they would not take anyone to the shaman because shaman at the community is someone who has a high position and well-respected, and therefore they need to have the special arrangement to do so. After the tour, I brought this missing items to Rebecca Adventure Travel and asked for the compensation and they told me a totally different story - The shaman wasn't available on the day I was visiting and they have the right to change the itenerary at any time they want. If they can do that, something you're very looking forward to would not be available if you're unlucky and there is no guarantee to fulfill it. This is a very bad tour service. This company doesn't provide what they say. Also, they're very high cost. I paid for more than $500 for this 5 day tour and other guest told me she only paid $410 including the transport from Quito to Cuyabeno. This company doesn't provide any transport for 9 hours journey from Quito. (At first, they said they could provide $30 shared transport for one way and in the last minute, they said they couldn't provide it) If you're looking for a tour to Cuyabeno jungle, you definitely better to look for other company or to avoid this kind of maltreatment. The tour company should keep the promise for what your pay and should not tell you a lie when it is found out that it wasn't full-filled. AVOID REBECCA ADVENTURE TRAVEL!!!!

We stayed 4 nights at Jamu Lodge and had the most incredible time. The lodge staff were fantastic, and our guides were knowledgeable and really sharp eyed to spot the wildlife! We're so glad to have booked through Rebecca Travel who were extremely helpful when our Tame flight was cancelled on the morning of our trip - they immediately contacted the lodge, and arranged for our tour to begin a day later and helped us to rebook all our travel. We were really impressed by the quick and expert help!
