Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro
You'll land at Kilimanjaro International Airport and get picked up for the drive to Aishi Machame Hotel, sitting right at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Check-in happens at 2:00 PM, and the hotel has comfortable rooms, hot water, a pool, and Wi-Fi. A manager will go over the expedition details with you and answer any questions before things get started.

Londorossi Gate to Shira 1 Camp
Your guide and crew show up in the morning for a final briefing before heading out. From there, it's about a 3-hour drive to Londorossi Gate (the western entrance at 2,200 m). After checking in at the park, you'll continue driving to the drop-off point at 3,500 m where you can see the Shira Plateau. Then trek lightly for about 1 hour covering roughly 5 km to reach Shira 1 Camp (3,505 m), where lunch is waiting.

Landmarks/POIs Londorossi Gate Shira Plateau - Day 3
Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp with Acclimatization Hike
After breakfast, trek through the alpine zone toward Shira 2 Camp (3,900 m), taking in views of the Shira Plateau and Mount Meru if the weather cooperates. Once you arrive, have lunch and rest for two hours. Later, your guides take you on an acclimatization hike toward Lava Tower Camp, gaining 200 m in altitude before heading back to camp.

Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower
After breakfast comes the major challenge: ascending to Lava Tower (4,630 m) with steep climbs and descents. You might feel some altitude effects, but spending 1-2 hours here matters for acclimatization. Lunch gets served at the tower. Then you'll descend to Barranco Camp (3,960 m), where you'll see the famous Barranco Wall that you'll climb tomorrow.

Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp with Acclimatization Hike
Wake early to climb Barranco Wall before other groups show up. The 1-hour ascent is straightforward and doesn't need technical skills. At the top, rest and get photos with Kibo volcano behind you. Then tackle a more challenging hike toward Karanga Camp with multiple ups and downs. After lunch at camp, do another acclimatization hike gaining 200 m toward Barafu Camp, then return to Karanga for the night.

Landmarks/POIs Barranco Wall Kibo - Day 6
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp with Acclimatization Hike
Reach Barafu (4,640 m), your summit camp and launching point for the final trek to Uhuru Peak. The crew already has camp set up so you can rest right away. After recovering, do an acclimatization hike to Kosovo Summit Camp (4,800 m) and back. Spend the rest of the day sleeping and relaxing before the midnight summit push.

Landmarks/POIs Kosovo Summit Camp - Day 7
Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Millennium Camp
Depart Barafu around midnight and ascend to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), Kilimanjaro's summit. High altitude is the main challenge, not technical skills. Every two climbers gets a personal guide monitoring your condition. At the summit, soak in the views and the moment. Optional activities include a 20-minute glacier trek or a 3-hour crater trek depending on weather. After summiting, return to Barafu for lunch and rest, then descend to Millennium Camp (3,820 m).

Landmarks/POIs Uhuru Peak - Day 8
Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate
Wake up in the tropical rainforest at Millennium Camp where the extra oxygen brings relief. After breakfast, head down to the park exit at Mweka Gate (1,650 m). Back at the hotel, you'll get commemorative certificates and the crew will gather to celebrate your achievement. The tipping ceremony happens next, where the chief guide collects gratuities and distributes them fairly among crew members.

Departure from Kilimanjaro
Have breakfast and rest at the hotel before checking out at 10:00 AM. You'll then get transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
