What people love about Europe Tours for Couples
- Romantic Europe
There are lots of things to say about this tour which took as 19 days. This was our 4-th tour we booked thru TourRadar. Here are things in the tour that I liked 1. Active tours, interesting for people who can plan, but additional options were not planned right. 2. Enough free time, but not enough instructions options what you can do with your free time. Here example of that: At Pisa, Italy was enough time to do some of the museums of Catedral inside, but after we stood a time to get inside of the Catedral, which was free, they told us that you still needed to get that free ticket. So, adding information this kind, will help plan your time correctly. 3. Most of the guides of the section of the tours were great, even some of them did not do that good with English, but few were just there to do ONLY minimal. Here is the things that we hated 1. No rules followed in the bus. Big groups especially reserved sits with 1 person throwing bags multiple places, when people not even there. You get up on bus 3-rd or fourth to find out most of the sits are taken. 2. And here is the thing that I hated most on this trip. First time ever, I saw babies and toddlers on the tours. Never was my other tours. If I want to hear entire trip time some other people’s babies cries, I rather stay home and hear my grandkids cry.
- 4 Rivers: The Moselle, Sarre, Romantic Rhine, and Neckar Valleys (port-to-port cruise)
The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. The ship was beautiful with clean, spacious cabins, lovely dining and lounge rooms, wonderful, friendly staff and plenty of excellent food and wines. We joined all the excursions, and they were amazing too. The only constructive feedback I have is that clearer instructions on where to board the ship in Luxembourg, need to be provided as no one seemed to know where we should be going. The misunderstanding seems to have come from the fact that many of the passengers were transported by coach from Strasbourg to board the ship in Luxembourg, whereas we flew to Luxembourg. We later discovered that there were other passengers who had flown into Luxembourg to board the ship, who experienced the same issue. For us, it resulted in additional costs for telephone calls and taxi charges of almost 300 Euros to find the location of the ship. I think it would make more sense to let people know the name of the place and the restaurant that the ship was moored alongside as we were only given the instructions of Remich (not very accurate) and opposite the swimming pool.
What our customers ask about Romantic Europe Trips & Honeymoon Packages
What are the most romantic cities included in these European tours for couples?
You'll find classic romantic spots like Paris, where you can take an evening Seine cruise and see the glittering Eiffel Tower, and Venice, where you can share quiet moments during gondola rides and dinner at cozy spots like La Fenice. Amsterdam adds its own charm with waterside cafes and evening canal cruises. One TourRadar traveler shares: "The evening dinner cruise in Budapest along the Danube was absolutely magical for couples - seeing all the illuminated buildings while enjoying a romantic dinner was unforgettable." You can stay at places that set the mood perfectly, like the W Hotel Amsterdam with Royal Palace views or the InterContinental Budapest right along the Danube.
What's the best time of year for couples to take a European tour?
Spring (April-May) is wonderful when flowers bloom in Paris and Amsterdam, while fall (September-October) means fewer tourists and nice weather in places like Rome and Florence. Summer gives you long days but bigger crowds. Winter can be really special, especially during the Christmas markets in Vienna when temperatures are around 35°F (2°C). A TourRadar traveler puts it well: "The springtime tulips in Amsterdam and cherry blossoms in Paris created the perfect romantic backdrop for our trip."
Which river cruise itineraries are most romantic for couples?
The Rhine and Danube routes are perfect for couples. On the Rhine between Amsterdam and Basel, you'll float past castles and vineyards in the UNESCO-listed Rhine Gorge. Danube trips connect beautiful cities like Vienna, Budapest and Prague. As one TourRadar traveler remembers: "Watching the sunset from our balcony as we cruised past illuminated castles on the Rhine was pure magic - we fell in love with Europe and each other all over again."
What's the average cost for a couple's European tour?
You'll find quite a range of prices depending on what kind of trip you choose. River cruises with all the extras run about $500-600 USD per person each day. Regular land tours cost between $230-550 USD per person daily. For example, you can do a 12-day European Discovery tour for around $2,940 USD per person, while fancy river cruises like Avalon Waterways start at $4,500 USD per person for 8 days. One TourRadar traveler shares: "While not cheap, the romantic experiences and hassle-free travel made it worth every penny for our special trip."
What are the most romantic dining experiences included in these European tours?
You'll get to enjoy some really special meals together, like dinner cruises in Budapest with views of lit-up landmarks, cozy dinners in Venice's San Marco area, and memorable meals at classic spots like La Coupole in Paris. On Scenic Space-Ships, you can pick from five different restaurants, from casual to fancy, with all drinks included. The Avalon Vista offers dinner at the Panorama Bistro or outside at the Sky Grill. TourRadar travelers often mention the "incredible dining experiences with stunning views" throughout Europe.
What are the most scenic routes for couples who enjoy beautiful landscapes?
You'll see some amazing views along the Rhine Gorge with its castles on cliffs, through the Swiss Alps near Lucerne, and in the pretty Wachau Valley by the Danube. The Glacier Express train through Switzerland shows off mountain scenery, while Ireland's Ring of Kerry gives you beautiful ocean views. TourRadar travelers especially love "the romantic views along the Rhine River with its fairytale castles."
What are the most romantic destinations included in European river cruises?
The Rhine and Danube rivers take you to some really romantic places. Along the Rhine Gorge, you'll see 40 castles and cute towns like Cochem and Rüdesheim. Vienna charms couples with its grand buildings and cozy wine taverns, while Budapest offers spots like the fairy-tale Fisherman's Bastion. One TourRadar traveler says "cruising through the Rhine Valley felt like sailing through a fairy tale with my partner." When you're on the AmaSonata ship, you can have a romantic dinner at The Chef's Table with its warm lighting and intimate atmosphere.
