Itinerary
- Day 1
Amsterdam
You'll arrive in Amsterdam and board your Suite Ship by 5 pm. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city however you'd like. If you're visiting during tulip season, there's an optional guided tour to Keukenhof gardens where you can see over seven million tulips and bulbs. Outside that season, Zaanse Schans is worth checking out for its historic windmills and traditional Dutch houses.

Amsterdam to Cologne
Your Adventure Host can lead you on an off-the-beaten-path walking tour through Amsterdam's cobblestone streets, or you might prefer a guided canal cruise past the grand homes from the city's Golden Age. After that, you'll have time for optional activities or just wandering around on your own to see the colorful streets, galleries, and shops. Later this evening you'll head to Cologne by boat.

Cologne
In Cologne you can bike around with your Adventure Host like a local, take a guided walking tour focusing on Jewish heritage sites, or join a city walk that includes the impressive gothic cathedral with its twin spires. During free time you can grab a Kölsch pale lager, the local beer brewed here. The evening brings live music from local musicians on board.

Rüdesheim
As you sail to Rüdesheim, you'll pass through the Rhine Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with views of ancient castles 400 feet above the water and the famous Rock of the Lorelei. Once there, you can hike through vineyards with your Adventure Host, check out the Mechanical Music Museum and try authentic Rüdesheimer coffee, or tour Johannisberg Castle's 18th-century wooden-barrel cellar with wine tasting. Live entertainment happens on board this evening.

Heidelberg to Kehl
Heidelberg offers several options: walk the Philosophers' way with your Adventure Host, take a guided city walk that includes the Gutenberg Museum about printing history, or visit the castle to see its renaissance ruins and the Great Vat, which is the world's largest wine barrel. You'll cruise to Kehl later in the evening.

Strasbourg to Breisach
In Strasbourg you can bike around with your Adventure Host or join a city tour that covers the Gothic cathedral with its ancient murals and astronomical clock, plus the charming La Petite France district. There's a guided optional tour to the Maginot Line, the pre-WWII fortifications, or you can visit Alsace's wine country instead. Free time is also available for museums or exploring the city center. Later you'll cruise to Breisach.

Black Forest and Freiburg to Basel
You can either take a full-day guided tour into the Black Forest to see the Vogtsbauernhof open-air museum, an authentic water mill, and a traditional butter-making demonstration, or explore Freiburg's medieval city center. There's also an optional excursion to the charming village of Colmar with its half-timbered medieval buildings. You'll cruise to Basel later in the evening.

Basel to Lucerne
After disembarking your ship this morning, you'll take a motorcoach to the Swiss Alps for a special tour of Mount Pilatus or Mount Stanserhorn depending on what's accessible, with spectacular views over central Switzerland. If weather doesn't cooperate, you'll visit the Swiss Transport Museum instead. Later you'll have a guided walking tour through Lucerne to see Thorvaldsen's Lion Monument and the famous Chapel Bridge.
