What people love about Switzerland Tours for Couples
- Magical Switzerland (Classic)
it was indeed a magical vacation. The tour company took care of everything ie our luggages, transport, hotels, train, breakfast and 5/7 dinner... so we did not have to worry but just enjoy and relax, Our tour guide was excellent, Helen. She overlooks on everything and very organized. Our driver Crystal was a very good one. I felt safe with the tour and I would not hesitate booking another tour with the company.
- Barcelona to Zurich
I thought there was not enough time to explore each location. For some stops we were there a very short time. The information should have been stately more accurately. We will only sleep on the town…there will only be about and hour or two hours to explore.
- Spectacular Switzerland
This trip was a dream. It was so well planned by Globus: hotels were top notch, activities were great, extra activities were perfect, and there was a perfect balance between group time and alone time. I got to spend time venturing off and exploring by myself, which I loved. Our tour guide, Valeria, was impeccable. Her energy was outstanding and I intend on making sure I only go on tours she is the guide for because she really made all the difference!
What our customers ask about Romantic Switzerland Trips & Honeymoon Packages
Which train journeys offer the most scenic routes for couples in Switzerland?
The Glacier Express is a must-do 8-hour trip between St. Moritz and Zermatt. You'll cross nearly 300 bridges and go through 91 tunnels while taking in amazing Alpine views together. If you're looking for another beautiful route, try the GoldenPass Express from Lucerne to Montreux - you'll pass right by Lake Geneva's pretty vineyards. The Bernina Express is also really special, running from St. Moritz to Tirano on a UNESCO World Heritage route with 55 tunnels and almost 200 bridges. One couple who booked through TourRadar said: "The train journeys were incredibly romantic - sitting together watching the stunning Alpine landscapes pass by was unforgettable."
What are the best times of year for couples to visit Switzerland?
If you like warm weather, come in summer (June-August) when it's about 75°F (24°C) in places like Lucerne and Interlaken - perfect for getting outside together. Winter visits (December-February) are really nice too, especially in spots like St. Moritz and Zermatt where it's usually around 30°F (-1°C). You can cozy up together and try some winter sports. Spring (April-May) is lovely when temperatures hit about 60°F (16°C) and flowers start blooming around Montreux and Lake Geneva. One TourRadar traveler told us: "We went in June and the weather was perfect for romantic lakeside strolls and mountain excursions."
Which destinations are most recommended for couples?
You'll love Lucerne with its old Chapel Bridge and walks by the lake. Zermatt is great for couples - you can see the Matterhorn up close. Montreux, right on what people call the Swiss Riviera, has the beautiful Chillon Castle that looks like it's from a fairy tale. The Bernese Oberland area, especially around Grindelwald and Interlaken, has some of the prettiest mountain views you'll ever see together. Here's what one TourRadar traveler said: "The scenery was spectacular, especially the train journey through the Alps which was incredibly romantic and perfect for couples."
Which Swiss cities offer the most romantic experiences for couples?
In Lucerne, take a boat ride on the lake or walk hand in hand across the Chapel Bridge. Montreux is perfect for walking along the lake and visiting Chillon Castle, plus you can try local wines in the Lavaux vineyards. When you're in Zermatt, take a private cable car up to Gornergrat for amazing views of the Matterhorn. Geneva has lots of nice restaurants by the lake and you can take boat trips together. As one TourRadar traveler said: "Each city had its own romantic charm - from cozy restaurants in Lucerne to sunset walks along Lake Geneva."
What are the most romantic hotels for couples in Switzerland?
If you want to treat yourselves, try the Hotel d'Angleterre in Geneva - it's right by the lake and mixes British and Swiss style really nicely. The Crystal Hotel in St. Moritz has a lovely spa and great mountain views. In Lucerne, the Renaissance Hotel combines old-world charm with modern comfort, and it's close to the Chapel Bridge. One TourRadar traveler shared this about their stay: "The Hotel Alex in Zermatt was incredibly romantic with its traditional Swiss decor and Matterhorn views from our private balcony." The Alpine Classic Hotel in Leysin is another good choice - you can see all across the Rhône Valley from there.
What unique romantic experiences are available in Switzerland?
You can do some really special things together in Switzerland. Learn to make chocolate in Gruyères, try wines in Montreux's vineyards, or have a cozy fondue dinner at places like the Hotel d'Angleterre in Geneva. For something really memorable, watch the sunrise from Jungfraujoch, take a private boat on Lake Lucerne, or get a couples massage in St. Moritz. One TourRadar traveler told us about their favorite moment: "Our most romantic moment was the private cable car ride to Glacier 3000, followed by a champagne picnic with breathtaking Alpine views."
