Europe Tours for Solo Travelers
Solo travelers often choose the Amsterdam to Rome tour for the mix of famous sights and free time. TourRadar travelers say the guides make it easy to feel part of the group right from the start. You might spend your morning touring Krakow's UNESCO-listed Old Town with your group, then head out on your own in the afternoon to explore hidden alleys and cafes. Many travelers describe making fast friends over cruising Amsterdam's canals, long dinners in Munich's lively beer halls, and easy evening strolls through Rome's piazzas.

What people love about touring Europe solo
- Small Group: Imperial Cities and Austrian Alps from Belgrade
Great tour! I would recommend this tour to people who would like a taste of Eastern Europe. There are definitely countries that I would come back to and stay longer in. Budapest is such a beautiful city and I would go back in a heartbeat. I also loved Vienna and Prague. The nightlife in Prague is fun. The food in Serbia is awesome and the prices are reasonable. I would also go back to Serbia again!

Started with Gabriela with a switch to Israel. Both are amazing tour guides with plenty of knowledge on the cities/ tours. Both are very informative. They make sure you are well taken care of my any means. They wouldn’t leave you with doubts or questions. The travel by bus is too long some days. The hotels were decent enough. The breakfasts were not the best, but I hardly ate anything in the morning besides having a coffee anyways. Overall it was an amazing trip. My first time using TourRadar and I would definitely recommend and use it again.

Great holiday with great new friends...
What our customers ask about Europe Tours for Solo Travelers
Which European destinations are most welcoming for solo travelers on guided tours?
Cities like Berlin Prague and Budapest stand out as friendly destinations for people traveling alone. Their safe neighborhoods inviting café scenes and lively nightlife make it natural to meet others. The charming Baltic capitals - Tallinn Riga and Vilnius - offer welcoming Old Towns where group activities bring people together. In Prague you can join social pub crawls that wind through historic beer halls. Budapest's thermal baths create relaxed settings where conversations flow easily. A TourRadar traveler shared: "The walking tours in each city made it so easy to chat with others while exploring amazing places together."
Are there any special discounts or deals for solo travelers in Europe?
Look for "no single supplement" promotions on certain departure dates especially during quieter travel months like March-April and October-November. Some tours cut the single supplement cost by up to 50%. When you book far ahead (6+ months) you can often save $200-400 USD. As stated by a TourRadar reviewer: "I got a great early bird deal booking my solo trip to the Balkans 8 months ahead."
How do room arrangements work for solo travelers who don't want to pay a single supplement?
The tour pairs you with another traveler of the same gender in twin rooms at places like the Ibis La Defense in Paris or Hotel Duo in Prague. About 31% of solo travelers choose this shared setup according to TourRadar data. A TourRadar traveler noted "The tour company was great at matching compatible roommates." For those wanting privacy single rooms cost extra ($500-800 USD) when available. Tour operators handle all room arrangements with care making sure everyone is comfortable.
What's the best time of year for solo travelers to join European tours?
The peak season runs May through September with September drawing the most solo travelers - around 150 bookings. The pleasant weather and abundance of group activities and festivals create an ideal social atmosphere. A TourRadar traveler noted "September was perfect - great weather and lots of other solo travelers." April and October offer good value with smaller but steady group sizes. Places like the Hotel Massimo d'Azeglio in Tuscany also tend to be less crowded these months.
What activities are best for meeting other solo travelers on the tour?
Group dinners walking tours and optional excursions naturally bring people together. Popular social activities include wine tasting in the Rhine Valley gondola rides in Venice and fondue dinners in the Swiss Alps. A TourRadar traveler shared "The optional activities were where I really bonded with others in the group." Evening events like Paris cabaret shows or Prague folk dinners also help break the ice. Most tours kick off with welcome gatherings at hotels like the Radisson Blu Amsterdam where connections start forming right away.
