Almost all the meals were included, the cuisine and the choices were wonderful and accommodations at the hotel and on the cruise ship were beyond my expectations. Our tour group was multinational and the cruise ship seated us together for meals, so we all got to know each other. Because of the cost of living in Egypt, this trip was more than affordable as compared to travel in most other regions. It gave us a chance to learn about an ancient civilization that was far beyond its times in many ways. Although the tour of 7 Balkan countries involved a great deal of driving, the scenery was one of the highlights. The entire tour was managed very well and we especially thank our main tour guide Milos from Serbia who was exceptional. Milos has the wonderful personality mix of intellect, knowledge, efficiency, warmth and good humour. Nothing was too difficult for him and besides his exceptional driving skills taking us across 7 countries, he is a lovely affable gentleman with great moral standards. It was like we've known him for years and so it was sad saying goodbye in Belgrade. From the internet, Sarajevo has day trips to national parks and we would like to do some nature walking/visits (after sitting in a vehicle for close to 2 weeks!).

Unfortunately, we are not able to answer positively to your request. In the past, we were offering that option, that we put people that don't know each other in the same room, and according to our experience, that was not a good idea. The only thing that we could advise is that you check out one of our shorter and more affordable tours (for example Balkan Express) which would fit in your desired budget.

We do not understand why so many nights when we look at the itinerary. Also we have family in Belgrade who would prefer that we stayed with them. Can we negotiate a cheaper price for the package if we take out Belgrade accommodation costs. We are possibly interested in the upgraded accommodations. What is your opinion?

That is correct, there are four nights in Belgrade totally, 3 at the beginning of the tour and one at the end of the tour. We don't have an exact answer why we made it like that, it seemed as a good idea, and our past travelers liked the itinerary as it is, so we kept organizing the tour in this way. Yes, of course we can deduct the price for the price of the accomodation in Belgrade. Before we give you and offer, please confirm that you would stay all the overnights in Belgrade with your relatives ( 3 nights at the beginning of the tour and then one night at the end of the tour). Once we get your answer, we will do the calculations (on Monday) and get back to you with an offer.

In Belgrade, most probably you'll get the chance to visit the opera or a theater, since you're in Belgrade for three full days. As for the other cities that are part of the itinerary, Sarajevo, Sofia, Skopje, Tirana, all of them have theaters, operas, philharmonic orchestras, etc..., but we would need some time to check what's happening where on the exact dates when you'll be visiting those places.

Of course, a private room is possible, actually that is the only option for a single traveller. The price of a tour with a single room accommodation is 2859 EUR (included accommodation, transportation, guide and entrance fees).

Of course, you can book the extra nights, both before the official start of the tour and after the end of the tour. The price is 110 eur per room/per night. City taxes included. If you decide to book the extra nights, just let us know, we will make the reservations, and you can pay for that once you arrive. Also, we would like to mention that the arrival airport transfer remains inlcuded, even if you decide to arrive earlier.

Unfortunately, this tour is not visiting Međugorje. Also, the tour finishes in Belgrade, and there are two direct flights daily between Belgrade and Rome, so you can book tickets for your flight and find another tour for Rome.
